About Me
I am moving to St. Albert in the next 2 or 3 months. My daughter lives there and I am missing my 3 grand children so much. My son moved out and there's not alot of work here, so I figure now is a great time for a new adventure. I've been a BC girl for 40 ish years and I do love it here, but now I want to try something different. I enjoy socializing with friends and family. BBQ's, dinner parties, picnics, special events, just about anything to do with food. I do love to cook. I walk with my dogs a lot, at the beach, the lake, all over. I love the mountains, camping, fishing(I can't kill them though, so if no one is with me they go free).
Gardening is also passion of mine, so I'll have to learn all the new plants and veggies that grow out there. I like working out at the gym, and keeping active. I'm bringing out my kayak, so I hope there's some water out there. I've been to the Broken Group Islands(on the West Coast of Vancouver Island) and it's absolutely awesome and beautiful. I'm into classic cars & hot rods(I have one). I have belonged to the Comox Valley Classic Cruisers for a while now and have been there guest artist for the past 4 years at our big car show. I'll have to check the one out there too.
I love wild life, photography, traveling, camping and volunteering. I volunteer at different events, like the "Vancouver Island Music Fest" which I have been a Security Supervisor for the past 5 years. I also belonged to the CVESS (Comox Valley Emergency Support Services) for disasters etc. As well as assistant chef for 200 people(for the past 4 years) a fundraiser for the "Child Haven Orphanage" that my daughter's mother in law organizes.
I am a compassionate, caring and loyal person. I like to help people less fortunate than I am. I love to laugh and have fun which I do every day, I have a pretty good sense of humor. I believe life is way too short, just like me :) I like to be treated with respect and I treat people the same. I like rock, the blues, jazz-quite a variety of music.
