I recently moved to the Big Easy after being in Baton Rouge since 1998. I am originally from a small city in south Louisiana so I would consider myself to be very Cajun. I am also a very spiritual person which is quite different from religious-I would say that I do not subscribe to labels. I believe in a God who is unconditional and nonjudgmental.
So on a lighter note, I am looking for fun, intelligent, NON-drama people to hang out with in Nola and play tourist during my free time. My friends describe me as nurturing and generous. I am self-sufficient, make a comfortable living and not looking to be anyone's sugar mama :-)

I have decided I needed to be more specific about myself. First of all, I am very hesitant to respond to messages, so PLEASE do not take it to heart if I don't. The reason I have seeking friends on this site is because I do not have expectations of anything more. I also believe that a friend is the foundation for any future relationship. I am not interested in any casual encounter ever. If you are passing through town, please do not message me, I just do not have the extra time to be pen pals with someone and I do not believe in long distance relationships.
I am a very independent person. I believe that we all are whole people and do not need anyone to complete us. I have been divorced now for 7 years and I do not need to be in a relationship to be happy. I take excellent care of my body, mind and soul. I try to meditate and exercise nearly daily. I am a firm believer in adequate sleep. I eat a diet full of super foods/antioxidants and take vitamins. I have never smoked or taken drugs. My family and career goals are very important to me.
Because I keep my body in shape, I expect the same in a guy. A sense of humor and wittiness is always an attractive quality. And what girl doesn't like an affectionate guy or someone that is not afraid to open up and communicate feelings. A confident (not arrogant) man is awesome-it is a sign of high self-esteem. If you are just recently coming out of a relationship, I wish you the best, but I will not get involved. I believe that it takes a while to heal from a break-up. If you do not have any pictures of yourself, please do not message me. If your pictures are obscure, outdated, or you have to cover your eyes or hide your face or have to post pictures of your pets instead of yourself, please do not message me.
