About Me
Have you reached a point in your life where you have the time and resources to do some of the things on "the list"? Are travel and the pursuit of a healthy lifestyle near the top of that list? Then we have some things in common, and that's a great start for friendship and perhaps something more if the chemistry works...
I'm in year four of retirement and loving every minute. Not that I wouldn't go back to work under the right circumstances, but I can't seem to find a job where I can set my own hours and take long stretches of vacation when the weather gets nasty. I'll just have to try harder...
I am not a fitness fanatic, but I do think a healthy lifestyle is important since I intend to live a long time. So I run regularly and take yoga classes. I skate on the Oval in winter and do a little hiking and biking in the warmer months - would love to do more! My passion, however, is travel. It's a big world, and I intend to experience as much of it as possible before I lose the cognitive ability to make my way through an airport.
I'm a big music fan and go to a lot of concerts. I also enjoy live comedy, movies and the beach on hot summer days when it's late enough in the season that the danger of hypothermia has passed...I think that Nova Scotia in general and Halifax in particular are among the very best places on the planet. Natural beauty, kickass talent/entertainment and a small-town feel with all the amenities of a bigger city. What's not to love?
There is more to me of course, but getting to the core of a person takes time and is best done face-to-face. If we share some of the same interests, then we have a starting point!
