Hi there, thanks for viewing me.
About me; I've been single (as in divorced) for over 7 years, and been on/off here almost as long. Tried a few other sites as well, and as you can see I've had no luck. Ive had a few dates, but I seem to bump into many fakes and flakes, and not found the one I'm looking for and connect with, so ill try again.
Me; I was born in Oakland, CA in 1958 to English parents, grew up in Dublin (since 65) where we lived in the country (it was then!). I grew up as a boy should, playing outside... On my bicycle, in the creek, up in the hills, on my neighbors cattle ranch, and later riding dirt bikes. My family came from a motor-racing back ground, dad was a race mechanic & automotive engineer and mum the team secretary. They came to California in 1956.
More about me; I grew up as a car and motorcycle nut in the 9th degree, I first drove a Land Rover at age-9 on Mt Rose (been driving them ever since). I began racing motorcycles at age 14, though mum didn't know it! At the same time I went to work full time at my uncles British Sports car shop in Hayward during summer vacations and learned a trade.
Even more; I went into the motorcycle industry at age 15 working after school and after I leaving HS, then back into the auto business in 1981 when I opened West Coast British, which I still have. backing up, in 1978 I traded a Honda SL100 for a 69 Triumph Trident 750 and began road racing at tracks like Sears Point, Ontario, Riverside and Laguna Seca. I founded the California Vintage Racing Group in 1984 and began racing "vintage" bikes (couldn't get to Europe to race in world championships). I built and raced my own bikes and was very good at what I did, I retired from road racing in 97 but when back out for one event in 98, the Trans Atlantic Match Races, then again in 2004 where I won ever race I started. At the same time I was racing Motocross, I retired from that in April 2008 after finishing 2nd due to a back issue. I am an accomplished racer and still ride my dirt bike and road bike now and again.
And even moooooore; In late 80s I joined Land Rover North America as an Engineer, basically Mr Fixit. I don't like politics nor my new boss so I walked away and went back to work for me. At the same time I started offroadexperience an adventure co based in Sierra's and Northern Nevada, which I still have. I love playing and exploring in the Moutains and Great Basin. I'm a published writer, written for motorcycle papers/magazines, car magazines and men's magazines too.
After my divorce I bought a 1969 MGB GT and later a 64 MGB roadster race car and restored them both and went racing with SCCA and historic racing in the GT, my most recent race was Oct 2014. My family is very involved in the Danville-delegance.org event as it raises money for Parkinson's, which took my dear ol dad, but a number of his friends.
Specifications; I'm now 56' 5-10' 140 pounds, blonde/gray and blue.. Here's a funny one: on FB recently a few of us old racers where writing back-forth and I challenged my pals to see who could find into their old leathers (racing suit). My first suit from 1979 still fits! LOL. I'm father of three boys, my oldest is a US Marine tank commander! The #2 is 20' and youngest is now 11... He's the light of my life! I live alone in Dublin.
A man of my word, I’m honest as the day long, I have morals & values, can eat like a gentleman with a knife and fork. Very romantic with the one I love, and I’ll give ya fair warning… I prefer to make love more often than not. I am however missing a special someone to enjoy life with, this is where you come in. Is it you?
Additional; My music tastes are varied, 60/70s, Big Band, Jazz, etc. I can shoot, but don't hunt. Can fish, but don't catch much. Love a tropical beach, but don't have someone to share it with, so haven't been in years. Love Disneyland with my kids, went last Xmas. Quite the comic, it's my British humor! Anything for a laugh. Don't like traffic or huge crowds, but sometime have to deal with it. An I get tired of the "what about me" attitudes of today. I do like places like Yellowstone (and to avoid the crowd the best time to go is end of Sept or first week of Oct, it's a ghost town!
YOU; I am looking for a SWF or SAF or SHF who is fit and fun and has some class. Age range say 40 to 50-ish. She loves adventure, takes care of herself and her man. One who doesn't mind getting a bit dirty, but cleans up well. One who loves Victoria Secret, Hawaii, warm weather, maybe the snow... and with a naughty streak. Doesnt have to be in bed early either. I seek someone who lights my fire and excites me. I'll know her when I meet her! But meeting her is becoming a problem! Doesn’t anyone meet just for the fun of it? Isn’t that what meeting & dating all about? Please don't judge by profile alone... you don't know me (yet), nor do I know you (yet).
Don't be shy, please reply with a photo....
Ps, no bbw.
A First Date huh? We'll figure it out. I'm not a coffee drinker though....
Note: If you're talking to 2 or 5 guys at once, or dating another tonight or last night and talking to me, then please don't bother. If you do have interest in me, then talk to me and let's see where it leads. thanks
