About Me
Hi there! Fancy seeing you here. :) Here's my story, in case you want to know more about the lady behind the pics:

I'm a 37 year old (soon to be 38!) Asian female living in the South Bay. I am getting up there in age :), but
many have told me that I look, act, or "think" younger... Guess I'm blessed with that typical Gemini trait. :)
Most of us are pretty young at heart and love to learn, meet new interesting people, and go on adventures (when our
extroverted twin comes out to play). :)

Was born in the Phil Islands but soon moved out to L.A. so essentially a native here. Diverse, vibrant, and sometimes crazy
L.A. is my home, although I had some short stints living/working in other cities like Salt Lake City, Utah (during the Winter Olympics 2002)
and Mallorca, Spain (where I did anthropology research at an artist colony). I would love to try living in other states/countries (like Colorado, Montana, Minnesota where I was accepted to Brainco, an ad school in Minneapolis, U.K., Australia, Italy, & Ireland)...but guess that will come when I resume taking cultural anthropology & ad/marketing classes.

In a past life, I was:
-A chem major who immediately made the jump to teaching high school kids
(I blended in with my students, being petite at 5', 97 lbs.).
-A scientist testing athletes for steroids and EPO, the "new" drug back in the 90s (what Lance
Armstrong used to win all those races)
-A part time event promoter for singles/professionals

My current gigs/interests:
-Starting a few small businesses (mostly online)
-Developing a few of my own creative businesses, either involving advertising, social events, dating, or the arts.
I'd love to create a matchmaking service (no offense to P.O.F. :)), create my own greeting cards, or do copywriting/research for new businesses. :)
-Writing (I'm always writing, but have a few irons in the fire, including a play and a micro memoir. I dabble in freelance poetry writing and romance as I'm a romantic at heart).

What I'm looking for:
-A man who has both a serious and playful side. :) Someone I can trust to be honest/dependable and occasionally keep me grounded (I'm an air sign so sometimes my head is up in the clouds).
-Adventurous and active; likes to seek out new things/interests. (I don't mind spending a much needed night or two to relax/unwind, but I love to explore so I'm hoping I'll meet someone equally as curious about the world as I am).
-Someone I can have a connection with...hopefully on a few levels. I've met people in the past where I connect with either emotionally or intellectually...and in the end I try to compensate for the missing pieces by befriending/dating others. I don't mind making multiple connections, but it would be great to have all the components in one person! Is that too much to ask? Hope not! :)
-Someone who shares some (not necessarily all) my interests. I love to dance/go dancing, listen to live music, going to art/cultural events (I would love to find a pal to check out a play/musical, concert, opera with me! Tall order, I know), socializing with old and new friends, going
on outdoor adventures, & travelling (weekend getaways are always welcomed. :)

If you've made it this far and feel you and I might make a connection, then by all means send me a message! Please say more than a "hi" or "how are you." I'd like to know your story as well!

First Date
Hopefully we would have had a chance to get to know each other before the first date actually happens. The trend here seems to be coffee dates, which I find a little baffling. Or maybe I'm just a little old-fashioned and idealistic...

If there is chemistry, it would be nice to go on a date that would involve one of our interests. Live music, singing, & dancing are all good choices. One of my fave all time dates was dancing and performing live with the band at Red, White, and Bluezz in Pasadena. Just throwing it out there so you have an idea. It would also be fun to see a new exhibit at a museum (Hammer, LACMA, Getty) or watch a play. If you're well versed in these areas, I am going to be all ears on our date. :)
