About Me
I think my best quality is I have a good heart. I like to help people via Wish Upon a Hero; cover Christmas, birthday gifts, clothes, help with trips, especially families with sick kids, if I can somehow make a sick child happy or smile, make a difference in their life, even if in a small way, then it's worth it. One family I am close to, met them through that site, I've been down to GA or TN five times in the past two years to see them, and to cover the vacations; I never thought I'd have gone to Dollywood three times in my life, yet alone once, but funny what life brings you; the kids are special in my heart, I call them my nieces, but not related, although I'd certainly be proud if they were my kids.
I make pretty good money, work very hard and a lot of hours, but was never one to spend much on myself, not overly materialistic as there are so many without even basic necessities, so I'd rather use the extra money to make others happy; that's one way I think I take after my Dad, I have the sneakers with holes in them and shirt with a few too many stains, along with the torn up jeans, as I'd rather spend the money on others, my family as well.
Guess I grew up wanting to be a superhero, and found a small way to do it, or at least I aspire to it, and hope to continue as long as I'm gainfully employed.
I like to garden, be outdoors, definitely want to do more travelling now that the weather is nice; love to dance as well.
