I recently took my niece who lives in Ohio to the Red wood forest up in Humboldt county. We went through the Avenue of the giants and it could not have been more perfect, the weather was just great and we walked through the trails with absolutely no one there any where. We had it all to our selves as was the beach we went to on the Lost Coast. We camped for 2 days and it was as if I rented the place to our selves. It is nice to have a place to go where you are the only one there, just perfect for sitting and watching waves or walking for miles and just letting every thought go, and that is how it was. I will go back to the lost Coast and take the hike down and camp for a few days as I walk back, it is a wild and beautiful place.
