About Me
I don’t find these things easy to write, even if I'm writing about the subject I should know best - myself - but a few words really cannot sum up one’s character. So far this site has me wanting to clarify and weed out what I'm not into, so I will cut to the chase on some larger points and tell you a bit about who I am and what I do/don't want.
I would best describe myself as a creative kind of a gal that can often be found working on any one of the dozen or so ‘in progress’ artsy projects I have laying about waiting for my attention. I’m a cheeky, sassy lady with a wry, witty and sometimes dark sense of humour; I can tell a good story and have the great ability to make people laugh. I've been told my laugh is infectious, fills a room and one knows when I'm up to something mischievous - I can be a bit of a pleasantly nutty prankster with a wild streak. I'm affectionate with those I take a shine to, I wear my heart on my sleeve and you'll know where you stand with me. I have tattoos on my arms and quite likely will be getting more, but I keep mine classy, feminine and original. I do enjoy dressing well, whether it be a dress and heels or a power suit for the office, yet I'm just as happy in jeans, tees, hoodies, and wellies with a makeup-free face - I'm a bit of a chameleon with a variety of styles. I do like a clean cut, well dressed man and an excuse to dress up but I also like a man with an alternative edge, tattoos are a bonus, and an artistic and creative streak is fantastic. I’m open to dating younger men, but I’m really not interested in dating anyone significantly older than me; if it’s physically possible that you could have children my age, you are too old for me –sorry.
On the big issue of 'life' – I do not have kids, I'm quite sure I don't plan on having any; I do like kids but prefer the role of 'Super Aunt' over parenting. I'd like to fill my time with travel and my ideal person will be my partner in crime, free to pick up and go at times, whether it be a spontaneous weekender on a whim or an adventure across the world. I lived and worked overseas for a time and travelling is definitely something I would like to do a lot more of.
Long distance relationships are great if you're socially inept, relationship 'challenged,' or in prison, but they aren't for me – it’s really like having a glorified pen pal masquerading as an imaginary boyfriend. That being said, having a job that requires one to travel is something else entirely as it works well with my independent character and clears time for me to focus and dive into my own goals and creative projects.
If you’re going to take the time to send me a note, please make the effort not to sound like one of my teenage sister’s msn buddies - if u b writin lyk this kno wut im sayin? It makes a difference – seriously.
I realize I must come across as a little cut-throat and to the point but I'm a pretty straight up lady and I have a good idea of what I don't want to waste my time on. As for what I'm looking for, I'd prefer to choose more than one option if I could as I'm open to meeting people to hang out with, making new friends, and dating if we dig each other. I think true chemistry with someone you really connect with is a fabulous thing that can be hard to find but I am open to a relationship if I find that.
