I'm artistic, love exploring the amazing world around us thru the lens of a camera, enjoy painting and would like to do more pottery/sculpture.
I volunteer with troubled teens at my church every week. It's very rewarding and I would like to get into crisis intervention and suicide prevention education at some point.
I love to cook and bake, and will try anything out of a cookbook that has pictures. Kinda silly, but I like to know what something is supposed to look like. I like sweet red wine, a Captain and Dr. Pepper or a nice cold Killains.
I have two cats. Would love to have a dog, but doesn't seem fair to lock up a dog in a condo without a big yard to run around in. And yes, like most other animals, the cats shed. If you are allergic, nothing I can do about it.
I want kids...but not necessarily immediately. Kids are amazing and I wouldn't mind becoming a foster parent either. If you already have kids, that's fine, but if you don't want kids, we definitely won't be a match.
I believe in God...and dating someone that is also believes in God is very important to me.
I like variety....sporting events such as hockey, lacrosse or ultimate fighting, board games, cards, pool, art shows, concerts, coffee shops, festivals, the zoo, the beach. Doesn't matter as long as the company is good. Not a fan of NASCAR, baseball, or golf.
Honesty is the best policy...sometimes brutal honesty, along with loyalty, generosity, trust, and genuine sincerity, are very important. And agreeing to disagree is very important as well. Compromise can be a good thing sometimes. This red-headed temper of mine rarely gets out of control, but when it does, it's usually for a very good reason.
Live music is the best...my top favorites include Dave Matthews Band, Rob Thomas and Theory of a Deadman. Concerts I've attended: Seether, Hinder, Buck Cherry, Prince, DMB, Theory of a Dead Man, Puddle of Mudd, Shinedown, Red, Dazy Head Mazy...would love to add to this list.
Being healthy is important...working out and eating right have found their place in my life. And here's where I'm brutally honest: I'm 5'5" and a relatively muscular 185 lbs. I love working out at Max Life and am there 5 days a week.
My dad is the jack of all trades...and it would be great if you were at least the jack of some. It shows a certain level of drive and ambition when you are mostly self-sufficient and not completely helpless. LOL. I've lived alone long enough to know how to use a drill and have even laid tile in my bathroom.
With all that, if you think you can hang with a girl that may be a ***** every once in a while because people have bad days sometimes, but generally likes to have fun in life and enjoy every moment, then hit me up. If not, good luck in your search and I'm sure you will eventually find your special someone.
The best thing to do on a first date is something fun that allows you to get to know each other. Dinner somewhere casual or a coffee shop are great places to sit and chat and figure out if there is enough common ground to meet again.
