About Me
I love reading, writing, recalling bizarre bits of movie/TV trivia . . . and being funny when you least expect it. I also love running, staying fit and staying active. Who I am and what I'm about can best be described by this brief exchange from the awesome 90s rollerblade film Airborne:

Mitchell: Wrong. Because his motto was: I am what I am. Do you think Popeye ever worried about what he wore just so he could get Olive Oil in the sack? I should say not, Dude. And do you know why?
Wiley: He was gay?
Mitchell: Because he is what he is.
I am a freelance screenwriter, but I also have a full time regular job so I'm stable in at least that sense. Relationships are never perfect because people aren't perfect and you really have to discover each other's flaws and either love them despite those flaws, or in some weird cases, love them because of those flaws. I'm always working on mine and trying to overcome them. Thus ends the sappy portion of my profile.

First Date
I used to have a ton of ramblings here and ideas for crazy dates, but I think when you start online you have to build to a date but I think I read on someone else's profile the best first date is one where you can go on a long walk and that avoids all distractions so you can talk and get to know someone and then say at the end of the walk if you like the person you can then propose an activity or meal (you have been doing all that walking after all and probably now have an appetite). Then after that the dates can get creative like kite flying and picnics on the beach, candlelight hikes and UFO sightings.
