Together we could be. Strengths balancing the ...... lesser strenghts. :-)
I’m not looking for a mirror image of myself – but for someone I can discover new things with and share experiences we have had. I like comfortable hiking (not the 'let's see if we can do it faster' but rather enjoy the sights kind) and being near, in or on the water. I tried dragon boating and golf this past summer for something new - not bad. Haven't camped in years but - gee I enjoyed it. For winter I have started curling again and would like to try cross country skiing or snowshoeing. I am not a fitness freak and do not need to be constantly on the go, but I do try to exercise regularly and enjoy yoga. Kicking back with a good book or cuddling up for conversation or a movie (and a glass of full bodied red) is always good to balance things. I will watch hockey with you if you watch CFL with me. Oh - I do not really like shopping or constantly increasing 'stuff'! As for dress - casual preferred - dressy is also OK.
I love to laugh (don't most of us) and dance (though you wouldn’t want to hear me sing!) I like most music - fond of country not fond of heavy metal. I can break into kooky, playful moods unexpectedly and usually manage to pull a few laughs out of friends I am with. I enjoy socializing with friends but am missing the intimacy with that special person to share private time with. I hope to meet someone who is content, confident, affectionate, able to laugh at the humour in life (including ourselves) and looking for the possibility of a full relationship - body and soul. Someone I can depend on (this does not mean to be dependant on). A man who likes to make the arrangements sometimes and does not need someone to organize his life, however, also knows how to bend and allow for another's views or plans.
My children are very important to me and now that they are branching out to discover their lives it is my time to do the same. I realize that this may even include moving - I am considering a move and the possibility of going back east or to the Kelowna area where I have relatives. I know that my match may not be in my immediate area.
In the last year I completed 5 months travelling in Australia and New Zealand and then relocated to New Westminster. I am now back to reality and working temporary assignments but plan more travel experiences. In the meantime small getaways and family visits will always be important. I prefer smaller towns to large cities.
If any of this interests you drop a line and I will take a look at your profile as well. I do not consider making contact a committment but rather a "Hello, you seem interesting." We may never meet but it might be a shame if we didn't.
Note: I have added picture request - this is not because I am superficial but rather that I believe those who do not post a picture lack validity and may just be playing a game.
The first meeting should be casual. Meet for a walk somewhere, or as there are always lots of activities on, we could meet to share one of them. I do not expect, nor would I be comfortable with an extravagant first meeting. I find the coffee shop interview a bit rigid. We are looking for potential relationships - not employees. (However we can grab a coffee during or after the walk. lol)
