About Me
I'm not someone who feels the need to "control", and I don't like it when people try to control me. I like and have horses and dogs and spend a lot of my "free" time outdoors. I have a dog that pretty much goes everywhere with me (except to work). I work full-time in an office, live on the outskirts of a city and deal with traffic right now, but I'm working towards a different, simpler way of life (looking for a small ranch property). I'm educated and have traveled a bit in my life. I have been an adventurous person; I've gone traveling alone to other countries where I don't speak the language, I've gone backpacking and camping a lot... But, on the flip-side, I really REALLY like making a home of where-ever I live and having a warm inviting home-base is important to me. I guess I come across as independent, but the truth is that I really do want someone in my life. I can be a bit of a neat-freak (I like to keep my home tidy) but I'm not a compulsive cleaner (I have lots of dust-bunnies). I enjoy cooking and I do well with someone who is appreciative.
First Date
I am kind of shy (in an extroverted way) so going out for coffee with someone new is a good start because it isn't too intimidating...even better if we get a cup of coffee to go and can walk and talk at the same time.
I love Thai food and I think the best date I ever (back in college) had was just going to Point Reyes on a rainy day and walking around a little and then going to dinner and talking. Rain makes things so romantic...
