Hey there! I moved to Austin a few years back.... I suppose that means I have to stop saying I'm new to the area..... Lol. I do still love it! I'm a genuinely happy person. I love laughing. I smile more often than necessary - most of the time for no reason at all. I believe that worrying or being upset is generally a waste of time. I enjoy the simple things, a beautiful sunset, great company, conversation and my favorite pair of jeans and flip flops ;)...... I still appreciate it when a guy is traditional and chivalrous ;)
What I am looking for is someone who is active and wants to get out there and experience life. (Getting drunk downtown everynight doesn't qualify as experiencing life!) I'm talking about going hiking or camping or on a day trip somewhere or out with friends... Etc. I just don't want to sit at home all the time watching TV - it's fun sometimes, but lets get out and go do something, anything! I probably can't hike 15 miles or bike 30 or run a marathon but I like staying active. I like taking my puppy for small 3 or 4 mile hikes. I go to the gym at least 4 days a week - because I like being healthy - but I don't love it. Lol. I think it would be fun going kayaking or something similar. I love water sports. I actually have my scuba certification so a tropical vacation is for sure on my to-do list!
I also have a very good idea of what I want. In life and in a relationship. I'm not trying to get married tomorrow but I'm also not interested in casually dating. I'm always looking for new friends though! I have a good job, a fantastic friend base and a pretty good sense of who I am; I don't need to be taken care of, but would like to find someone to share my life with. I believe that two people in a relationship should take care of each other equally..... Having it one-sided tends to lead to problems or resentment. I'm not perfect but I have my life together for the most part and I will expect the same from a someone who is looking to be a part of my life and for me to be a part of theirs.
Whether you can tell from what I've already written or not - I am very open, forward and honest. I'm not afraid to send you a meesage if i'm interested and you shouldn't be either..... But I will say that I tend to be more inclined to message or respond if you are smiling in your pictures. It seems like a trivial thing - and of course there are exceptions - but if you were to ask me what is the first thing I look at when I see a guy, it is his smile. Lol.
As a bit of a traditionalist, I tend to like when the guy plans the first date. I'd rather be surprised (with a few hints so I can make sure to be dressed properly, lol) I don't actually drink coffee but a simple "coffee" meet up or a casual drink is usually best for the first meeting. I don't really consider that the first date though.
