About Me
I'm happily spoken for and unavailable.

Finally relocated to Oregon, near Albany (south of Salem, North of Eugene), from the Bay Area, California (North San Jose).

North San Jose Bay Area, CA native but have lived other places. I'm 40 and a real, spunky, quick witted, self aware, multi-faceted, spiritual, compassionate, thoughtful, opinionated, passionate, practical optimist. I err on the side of being slightly introverted, a feeler and thinker. I can be just as silly and goofy as I can be serious. Love music dearly and most types. Hard-core harsh music has gone by the wayside of my youth though. I have an active, smart, precocious and creative daughter who is 12 years old and I would like more children (but that's not a deal-breaker). Her biological father is not in the picture.

My passions include nutrition, alternative & holistic health and helping others. I really enjoy researching and learning and read quite a bit, whether researching online or reading books (mostly on nutrition & health and spirituality). I love learning how things work. I like to cook and healthy... but that does not equate to low fat, low protein. I eat butter and beef - YUM - it's just grassfed. Think more along the lines of Weston Price organic whole foods plus Paleo type eating but I just haven't cut out all the carb/grains.

I have always felt like a country girl at heart stuck in the city. The fast paced life is not my cup of tea. I'm not a "party" girl and don't want to go out more nights than I am home. Don't get me wrong, I like to go out and have fun and I do like to travel but I'm just more of a "home-body." I prefer a smaller circle of close friends as opposed to tons of acquaintances. I like small get-togethers and BBQs at home. I love a good movie and watch movies from all different genres - not just chick flicks only. I like "guy" movies too and the super-hero ones too. I'm just not into horror or gruesome stuff.

I love being around nature and lots of trees and going for walks. Ultimately, I'd love to live on some land and have a large garden to grow some of my own food and have goats, maybe a cow and some chickens. It's not a deal-breaker if you are not interested in that type of life, it's just a dream of mine. I'd prefer to live on the outskirts or just outside of a major city. (And guess what, part of my dream came true! :) My parents bought some beautiful property on the outskirts of town when they relocated to Oregon from California - all set up for gardening and planning on getting chickens in the spring). Either in work or play, I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty. I have usually been (but not exclusively) a t-shirt and jeans kind of gal but I have always loved summer dresses. And like most women, I love to get really dressed up now and again. But I'm not a daily make-up wearer.

I am not a career driven, overly ambitious type. I have a very family oriented focus. I like to give to and help those in need. I'd love to take ballroom dancing classes. I'd also love to do more artistic and creative things. I don't have a lot of experience but would love to go fishing or target shooting (gun or bow). Maybe even paintball because I've never done it. However, I heard that it can hurt. I suppose if I wore enough layers to not feel any pain, I might look like the Michelin Man and hardly be able to move.

I love the coast and the beach but I would choose the mountain air and forests over the beach. My favorite times of the year are in between the seasons - when it's changing. But I really love Spring and Autumn.

I did my quota of heavy drinking in my 20s. I rarely drink anymore. I drink wine for communion at home and that's about it these days - I'm not Catholic. If we were in a relationship and you drank that's fine but I would prefer that it wasn't excessive or daily. Please have hair most of the time or at least be willing to grow it out; I'm not really into the freshly shaved bald head look. How did that become so popular anyway? Well, to each his own. :)

If you don't love Jesus, I still care for you... but romantically speaking, we will not be a good match. But with that being said, I am not into do-it-yourself religion that permeates most of the mainstream Christian culture. Unfortunately and sadly, most "Christians" in America have no idea what the real happy Gospel is. I am not a judgemental, self-righteous, uppity, look-my-nose-down on people type of person. You are not subject to a good and bad tally list. That's not what God is about. The Kingdom of God is about love, peace, joy, freedom, power and relationship in Him because of Him.

Please don't be shy. I may be assertive in many ways but I would prefer a man to take the lead most of the time. If I don't respond right away, I just may not have had a chance to. It's interesting that some guys would contact me when we have very little in common and such different spiritual beliefs.

Oh, and I will not get involved sexually unless we are married. But don't think that makes me a prude. I am incredibly passionate and intense. I'm just saving it for my future husband. :)

I proudly and excitedly voted for Trump. If you are left-wing or are anti-Trump, we would not make a good match. I would consider myself on the conservative side of Libertarian.

Thanks for dropping by and reading. I hope you find the perfect match for you. Take care and be blessed! :)

Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
Where we go or what we specifically do is not as important. As long as we are enjoying each other's company and laughing, then we will likely have a good time. Sense of humor is required. :) A walk, mini-golf, bowling, roller skating, sitting and getting to know one another? But a meet and greet over coffee or tea is probably best for a first time meeting. I'm open - just bring some good ideas. :)
