Ok...Disclaimer#1. This intent thing is pretty narrow. How can you be serious about dating someone until you get to know them? Kinda makes a person look pretty sleazy...
Disclaimer#2. Been separated for a long time, and haven't finalized due to mutual financial (ONLY ha ha) benefits. Can you say Obamacare? Pretty obvious there's no going back. Still friends, but why shouldn't I be, she's my kid's mom, we just want to live our lives differently...We have our own homes and lives. If either of us gets seriously involved, we've agreed to divorce with no issues. Ok, here we goooooo!
I have a 12 year old son, who plays travel hockey, and keeps me on my toes, trying to raise him to be a good man.
I guess in a nutshell, I would like to meet someone who wants to live life, and appreciate the beauty of it. I'm not talking jumping out of airplanes here, but rather the different way things look in the early morning sunlight, the peacefulness of a a soft snowfall, or the tranquility of a full moon over the water. That being said, I do enjoy more lively things too ha ha! I enjoy boating on the big water, snowmobiling either with my little guy or a group of friends, or a good live band. I'm not much for the clubbing scene, but don't mind the hole in the wall type from time to time. I'd rather hang out by a bonfire with a group of friends, or even just the right person! I am a romantic, and enjoy giving attention. Hugs, kisses, all that mushy stuff ha ha. I(like everyone else on here) love to laugh. Imagine that. I guess I've never met anyone who doesn't ha ha... A sense of humor is a must for me, and I enjoy an intelligent conversation. I used to read a lot, but life has me off in other directions at the moment.
I'm of average build I guess. I try to stay in shape. I enjoy working out. I'm not consumed by it. Can't be a hypocrite, as I appreciate a woman who takes care of herself! It's not vanity, being healthy will be important to all of us down the road!
I'm not originally from the area. I'm from a small town up north on Saginaw Bay. I like to get back up there when I can. Something fun to do every season.
I enjoy gardening, and love to plant things, from flowers to trees. I usually over do the size of the garden every year ha ha. I like to have a good cup of coffee on the deck and see how things are progressing first thing in the morning. Kind of clears your mind for the day ahead...
I enjoy motor sports, from sleds, to boats, to muscle cars. I like to fish a little, more so as my boy gets older, and hunt with my family in the fall. It's more about the camaraderie than anything for me. I've seen some amazing things in the woods. Michigan is awesome in the fall. I actually love all the seasons. They're just short enough that I don't get completely sick of them ha ha..
I like all kinds of music, from classical to country, classic rock and blues to oldies. I can painfully pound a few notes out on the piano, but have a lifetime to go on that before I'll be entertaining anyone. I just want to be able to play Christmas Carols ha ha!
Food. Denny likes food. Denny likes food even better if someone else is cooking ha ha! I've recently discovered grilling on wood charcoal. Mmmm...I can cook. I'm not a chef, but I haven't killed anyone yet. My dog is rather appreciative. We've both started jogging recently due to this. She's doing better than me. She's a show off tho. She can catch a frisbee better than me too. Maybe I should have let her write this profile.
I have my own appraisal firm and write home mortgages. I was in communications for quite some time, but felt I wasn't in control of my own future. So here I am. So far so good as far as that goes. It's interesting to say the least. The dog likes it. She's actually a big help, but tends to leave caps lock on while typing. We're working on that, it may just be the no thumbs thingy...
Enjoying winter, but always look forward to ice off and boating!
