I live here in Ventura County, and I think it might be the best place on the planet, plenty of sunshine, great ocean, beautiful mountains, and real nice down to earth people. I have a slow and easy lifestyle, I just take it a day at a time...I do a lot of Photography, some sailing, writing, video work, but I pay my way, and make my living in music. I love good movies, love to read books, like good TV, anything from Two and a Half Men to PBS documentaries... I enjoy plays, and can sit on the beach for hours at a time watching all the wildlife around me...Love old comedies like Jerry Lewis, Laurel and Hardy, Amos and Andy, and yes, even the Three Stooges...My musical taste run from John Coltrane, to Charlie Parker, to Joe Bonamassa, Dianne Reeves, and James Brown, to Debussy, Vivaldi, and everything between...I like Country too...As for my taste in authors...I love Wendell Berry, Kahlil Gibran, Souren Kierkegaard, Chief Joseph and so on. I am also a big fan of Christopher Hedges, John Muir, Noam Chomsky, Rilke, Herman Hesse, Rumi &c. sometimes putting these interests out there can help in making connections, sometimes not...
I'm looking for a Pretty, intelligent, sensual, independent woman that isn't all wrapped up in her own head thinking the world revolves around her and her alone. I find that mind set a terrible waste of "The Gift". Its a give and take world out here; some wonderful exchanges that cultivate lasting bonds are created in that very spirit.
I'm Christian, I don't share much "at all"of what today's mainline religion serves up as Christianity these days... I have no tendency to judge others, or their views, or their sense of truth. I was a road musician for many years and have shared buses, hotel rooms, and stages with people from all Faiths, Races, and denominations, and also, many Atheists and Agnostics, and we all got along just fine... I enjoy looking through the glasses of other peoples world view if they allow me to. Cultural fragmentation is a drag, and judgment is even a bigger drag, and the violence that is born from intolerance is just plain ugly...A great quote when it comes to people stereotyping one another by William Paley, he wrote years ago, "There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments, and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance—that principle is contempt prior to investigation."
P.S. I don't mean any disrespect to anyone, but if your posting photos from 5-10 years ago, without a recent one to accompany it; not fair.. At some point you have to meet with someone you find interesting enough to have lunch with... and who wants to be disappointed after entertaining an image in your mind conveyed by an old photo during the "getting to know you stage" online,. :)
Best of luck to you in your search. Peace...
