About Me
I used to have a more elaborate essay meant to portray me as a modern version of the classic gentleman. It was full of boasting and the usual "athletic, educated, well-traveled" stuff, and the seemingly contradictory examples to highlight my sense of humor and show a well rounded personality. But I got tired of it. So I'll just leave you with a brief and irreverent description. I like breakfast food anytime of the day. I really like to play sports, do big hikes, some kind of physical activity every weekend. I love doing road trips all over SoCal and points beyond, camping and backpacking, and the desert. I like rainy and stormy days, bars and restaurants in the middle of the week, used book stores, food shopping, dogs and trucks, and living here.

And more seriously, I am looking for someone to build something with, and be in a sincere relationship with lots of mutual admiration and affection, lots of exploration, laughing, and sharing.

First Date
There are two kinds of first dates. There is the first meeting with someone, just to see how compatible your are. And a real first date, when you've already met someone and want to get to know each other. For the first meeting, I like to go for a drink, someplace lively where we can talk, at a place that has good energy and a good little menu so maybe we can grab a bite.
