I should probably start off with saying that I'm looking for substance. While most people on here seem to say that, let me define what I feel that that is: A partner (either in crime or in good deeds) both on an emotional and mental level and a friend, first and foremost. I'm a geek (and not the juggling, circus type...)I work WAY too much (I haven't had a "proper" vacation in almost 4 years.) I am a vegetarian, I have tats and piercings. I love live music and if its loud, psychobilly, or punk, you just may find me there. I listen to anything from Delta Blues (ie Howlin' Wolf) to Tom Waits to Rage Against the Machine to the Cramps to NIN and Ministry. I believe what Hank Williams Sr said about music, "There are two kinds of music, good and bad." Bill Hicks and Hunter S. Thompson are heroes of mine. I think Doug Stanhope is a blistering social critic for the comic minded. I've lived in Austin for a little over 10 years. I volunteer, I protest, I recycle, I go to farmers markets, I'm one of "those" people. I like places like Lovejoy's, the Parlor, Headhunters, Spider House, I Luv Video. I'm a huge movie and music nerd (I own over 400 dvd's and have been collecting them for over 10 years and my media server at home has over 36,000 songs on it.) I have 2 furry "kids" at home, I play guitar and bass, I cook, I can sew, I can fix most mechanical things, I can build a computer from spare parts, I have a hard time with people who can't spell. I know the difference between honesty and cruelty. I am passionate about my friends, the people I care about and the world around me. I read a LOT, mostly non-fiction. I also think, a lot. If you're open minded, are pierced and or have ink, can curse like a sailor, can have a good time without feeling guilty about it, aren't religious, can tell the truth, can be trustworthy we MAY get along.
