Basic Beliefs: Compassion for all beings is the most important value; protection of the environment is the most crucial issue.

I'm a retired government executive....mostly over social programs. It is has been envolvement with vulnerable children and troubled youth that has been the most meaningful. Therein lies my expertise. I know I made a difference helping some reach for and grab a better life. For that I am thankful. What more could I want? Maybe you.

My home is down the street from the ocean in a quiet neighberhood. Life is good, with the caveat that injustice and poverty torment me.
While I have about seven years of post graduate education, most of valued learning has come from reading and talking with people from all walks of life.

To get a first date? Or does this mean what to plan as a first date?
If the former, I would try charm.
If the question is what I prefer as a first date, well I would consider the wishes of the woman I would propose meet for dinner in a quiet restaurant with atmosphere...you know, like romantic
I'm not keen on a quicky... like meeting squeezed in during a work break
