I'm an active healthy guy raised in the farm country of Southern Idaho. However, I'm as comfortable in the world of limos and private jets as I am in blue jeans, boots and an old pickup truck. I'm currently on a sabbatical after being self-employed for the last 30 years. Actually I'm approaching five years of my year off and am still having too much fun. However, I do want to do something productive again someday. That could be working or volunteering. I just enjoy being around people and working with them. I'm a team player but often end up being a leader. I've traveled extensively in both the US and the World and look forward to someday sharing those places with a special lady while at the same time making new memories in places that I haven’t been to. Ever since I was in my teens the lure of the road as beckoned so I need on a regular basis to get out and about, it’s a form of renewal for me. That can also include simple things like heading up to the mountains to cook dinner and sit by a babbling brook and enjoy a campfire or a weekend get away to a nice resort. I have an inquisitive mind and love to learn and read. I love the mountains; the seashore and the desert, so I guess you could say I love just everywhere. My favorite city is Paris with Rome and Venice close seconds. Some of my best trips have been to just rent a car and go explore abroad. Normally I have a general view of what I would like to see and visit but no real plan of how I'm going to do it. The journey is as important as the destination. I’m interested in forming a friendship and getting to know each other first. I’m not in a hurry and not interested in the old one night stand stuff. Yes, I know, I’m a guy, but I’m looking for more than that. I guess if you’re interested in finding out if our two lives may come together to form something greater you need to respond and lets start communicating. Thanks for checking my profile out.
Update 02/14/15: I'm still doing a part time consulting job in my semi-retirement. But I'm also looking forward to more traveling, specifically RV road trips. Things like driving to Alaska thru Baniff and the Canadian Glacier Park, annual trips to Yellowstone Country and the Idaho Sawtooth Mountains to enjoy the sights and sounds and hot springs. Even just quick overnight trips to our canyons and mountains. Then in the cold wintertime chasing the sun south for a few weeks.
If have found that many women do not like traveling and even fewer enjoy RV travel. So, if you're not interested in enjoying the journey, the freedom and stopping and going when you want to and not being on a rigid schedule then we may not be a good match.
