Love is what you make it. You can only be successful in love if you are willing to let go and allow yourself to be loved. Oftentimes we offer love but don't know how to receive it. A relationship is only as good as the effort that you put in to it. Just because the relationship is good doesn't mean that you have to love, just because you love doesn't mean the relationship is good. The key to life is true friendship. It starts with a hello and then moves from there. In getting to know the likes, dislikes, goals, etc...you determine which direction to go. If someone isn't willing to go where you want to go, it doesn't mean that they are ready to let you go, but that they aren't ready to trust completely. Trust is the determining factor on the longevity of the relationship. Without it there is no basis or foundation. A solid foundation in the beginning of a friendship will allow it to last the test of time. A spouse should be a friend first. I believe in values. I believe in love. I believe in family. I believe in friendships. I believe in taking risks and setting goals. I believe that where you come from doesn't have to define where you are going. I believe that hard work is necessary to achieve the impossible. I believe in defying the odds. I believe that my word is all that I have and if a promise is given, it should be kept. I believe that marriage is sacred, and should only occur once in a person's lifetime with the exception of death. I believe that children are a blessing from the Lord and should be treated as such. I believe that the love of money is the root of all evil. I believe that one should stay true to themselves. I believe in respect. I believe that no one person is greater than the other. I believe that life is to be lived and enjoyed. I believe in wholesome laughter. I believe that your home should be your sanctuary and that the outside world should stay there. I believe in peace. I believe that a man is the head of the household and the woman is the backbone. I believe in loyalty. I believe that each day should be embraced a new. I believe that those that have gone on before us are at peace. At the end of the day, when it's all said and done, a genuine hug can melt away the sorrows of the day. To embrace is therapeutic and can allow anything toxic in your soul to be released, whether that be anger, hurt, guilt, or pain. A smile will brighten up the day. The influence of a smile can change the outcome of any situation.
Of course, my first date, I would expect to be a thoughtful and considerate person and bear in mind that there are many nutty people in the world today....so with that being said...I would expect that my first date would be somewhere non-secluded, where two people can enjoy the conversation, if nothing else. We must first see if the conversation is enough to warrant and 2nd date. This date could be a coffee shop, restaurant, etc. Then, a nice walk along the beach or either in a park.
