...if you've "Yelped" to find a good restaurant, hike, or store, you might have read some of my words already.
LIFE should be diverse, adventurous, spicy, filled with love & passion, awe-inspiring, jam-packed with memories, and topped with freshly-picked huckleberries.
To live like a travel writer-- I'm all for that. Like George Bailey in "It's A Wonderful Life", I concur with what the most exciting sounds can be: "Anchor chains, plane motors, and train whistles." There's nothing like the ritual of planning for a trip. But I'm a novice, I've only been on three international trips, and my list of places to go to is long.
Yes, one can travel across this planet for adventure, but I also think a passport isn't required. One can have memorable experiences cooking a meal, meeting someone new, salsa dancing, or listening to a song.
It's not complex. There isn't an equation. Life's answer is different for everyone. I like to laugh at myself, and make people laugh with bouts of goofiness.
I know where I am and what I want in my life. There are so many beautiful things in this world, and I'd like to share it with a special someone. I guess that's why we're here, right? There's a quote from Billie Holiday which I heard recently, and there's something about her words which ring true for me:
"You've got to have something to eat and a little love in your life. Everything I am, and everything I want out of life, goes smack back to that."
- Billie Holiday
Making a connection is a mystery, but there are a few things I'm looking for. We should both have our own lives, but we should also have similarities (Do you have a travel bug? Would you be interested in salsa dancing? [I also like "regular" dancing at the club, too.]). We should be able to easily talk about anything with each other--we need to be comfortable with each other. Oh, and there should also be a dab of physical attraction thrown in, too.
I wish you the best in what you are looking for, and I hope to hear from you and see where we can take it.
