About Me
Hi, I've been gone from POF, but it's time to try again. It's very difficult to get below the surface. I deciding to write a poem that will show some depth. It's a glimpse of something more than usual profile question. This is why I'm here.
I Know
I know you are there, I feel your soul.
I can't see you, only your spirit I know.
We talk, play and even plot some schemes.
It's not reality, they're still in my dreams.
Seeking to find you is worth the while.
When I wake with you, an incredible smile.
Potential... but incomplete, tells who I am.
Joined with you, will make a better man.
Okay, I took the risk and it's out there. Am I a hopeless romantic? A good communicator? A nut case?

My roots are in the Pacific Northwest. That’s where people don’t tan…we rust. Now that my skin is learning to tan, Florida feels more like home everyday. My grown sons came here first and I decided to follow. They are two intelligent young men who are prospering and having the time of their life working at Disney.
Most of my life I have been very career driven. Aviation is one of my passions and I worked very hard to become an airline pilot. I love what I do, but retirement is only a few short years away. The hazard of being very focused on your work, is that one doesn’t take the time to smell the roses. The personal side of your life suffers. It’s the “all work and nothing else” mistake. The fact that you are reading this on a “dating site” is me changing that!
I’m looking for that special lady, the one who will bring out the best in me, and I in her. Who am I looking for? She's not too old. She will need to deal with a young man’s mischievous glint in my eye that time has hasn't been able to drive it away. She's not too young. I'm part of the baby boom generation. If she's younger, it would take "old soul" to have much in common with me. I hope she likes to fly and travel. I love home, but she will be challenged by my nomadic side. When I find her, I will seriously listen to her. I will hold her hand, make her laugh, and really appreciate her. This is where “age comes wisdom” applies. I’ve reached the point in life where I understand what’s important. We will change each others life...for the better.

A long walks on the beach... okay. An adult beverage on the beach... priceless!
Convertible top up or down? Down, with a good supply of oldies playing.
NYC or Yellowstone National Park? The Apple is great, but call me “Old Faithful”.
Harleys...no. I can appreciate the bikes, but the sky us where I ride.
Horror movies aren’t for me. Here's a confession, I'll go with the “chick flick”
Opera or a theme park? I'm an annual pass holder at Disney World.
Flying to a new adventure, or staying in bed with the Sunday paper? Both!
I’m not a hunter, I couldn’t shoot anything. I like animals of all kinds, even the lizards.
Cats usually like me. I’m not sure why. I think that's a good thing?
At this point in life most of us are fairly independent. I won't try to take that away. Adding
something to your life, and mine, is the goal. I'm not interested in games. I want to
build something special, together. Steven
