About Me
All right what does Boleroif6was9 mean... Bolero is the Latino in me, if 6 was 9 is a Jimi Hendrix song and plus that the year I was born... So i came up with that name. Get your mind out of the gutter please...lol
I hate to describe myself because, depending what kind of mood or mind frame I am in, it always reads different the next day. I'll hit common ground as who i am, and chances are I'll end up re-editing the whole F*in thing in the morning. But hey it is what it is and Ok here it goes...
Music plays a very important role in my life and I'm always on the go with projects, commitments, last minute gigs/rehearsals blah, blah blah...
I am professional guitarist/vocalist, artist/writer that fronts a rock/blues band. I do have my s**t together on my craft, but at times a staving artist I am to be. But I am relentless with a tunnel vision focus to succeed and make an impact and experience to everything i am involved with. Sooo no slacker here... I do have many hats from; studio musician, promotions, Ebay, photography, blogger and on and on... My day/night job has me going to Austin every other weekend visiting music stores. I love my job for its brings me great balance and excellent schooling.
I've traveled to many places and met many great people on the road with great experiences. I knew at a very young age, what I was destine to do well and many open doors have led me to where I am now. The arts is a hard business to make a good living, but I find it to be the most rewarding when people enjoy and love what you do.
I have two teenage boys that live with their mom and they're my number one priority. I'm not much for the club/bar scene but every now and then is ok. I do love to attend concerts and movies and taking long walks in the park to recharge my thoughts and mind is definitely my muse. I'm not much into TV or TV sports(though, I do like South Park), but that doesn't mean I wouldn't watch a game with friends and throw a BBQ during Super Bowl.
Back to music...
My taste in music... Well like to listen to rock, blues, Latin, international, some country and Tejano. I can appreciate ALL music period, but my tolerance for gangsta rap/hip-hop is not very high.
Im a very easy personality for the most part with lots of patience and I have a giving heart. And yes, its has bitten me in the a** but I moved on. I don't regret the risks that I have taken, all were either hidden blessings or a learning experiences to a better/wiser me. I live fully for today, look towards my tomorrows and learn from my yesterdays.
