PLEASE READ" FIRST DATE" BELOW AS I AM IN FLORIDA FOR AWHILE..I live close to nature on a sailboat, cook freshly caught fish and bake multi-grain bread in a solar oven, get my power from solar panels and a wind generator. Favorite pass-times: watching sunsets, sunrises, full moons, and starry nights over the azure waters of the Caribbean.Weigh 156# Brush my teeth 3 times a day and floss and
still have all my teeth except wisdoms.
I am 72, a widower for years, live on my sailboat near the small island of Culebra, just 18 miles from Puerto Rico and about 18 miles from the US Virgin Islands. I like to cruise the Spanish, US and British Virgin Islands and would like some company to share the cruising life with.
I'd like to meet an adventurous lady between the ages of 45 and 90 who would like to sail around the islands, snorkel the reefs while I(OR WE) catch a fish or two for our dinner ,watch a full moon rise over the azure Caribbean waters, listen to water music under a star-lit sky, explore uninhabited islands, hike up to Ram's Head, on St John, check out the sights at The Bitter End, on Virgin Gorda, see and hike through The Baths or stop on Jost Van Dyke for a beer. There are so many beautiful places to go, so little time, so send me an email and let's get acquainted.
I like to bake multi-grain bread in a solar oven, eat healthy, swim, wind surf,dinghy/sail, and sharing my love of sailing. I have spent most of the last 30 years in the Caribbean and Florida MOST every summer I return to my home state of Wisconsin where I live on a boat that I did day sails on for many years, which has a wood stove to keep the cabin cozy on cool nights. I know many folks both in the Caribbean and Door County Wisconsin and Fort Myers Florida if you would like references........... let me know.
I like all music, but my favorite is the distant sound of the surf breaking on the reef, that just gently rocks you in a beautiful and protected anchorage
I hope my life style appeals to you, if it does, let's get to know each other.
P.S. No sailing experience necessary.
.WHEN A BEE LANDS ON YOUR BOAT, WHAT TO DO?
THEY ARE USUALLY VERY LETHARGIC, IF THEY MOVE AT ALL.
GO STRAIGHT TO YOUR GALLEY AND REACH FOR THE JAR OF HONEY.
TAKE A TOOTH PICK AND GET A BIG DROP OF HONEY OUT OF THE JAR.
PLACE VERY CLOSE TO THE BEE , BUT NOT TOUCHING AS IT IS HARD FOR THEM TO GET STICKY HONEY OFF THEIR WINGS.
NOW GET YOU MAGNIFYING GLASS OUT OR LOOK THRU ONE EYE PIECE OF YOUR BINOCULARS............THRU THE OPPOSITE END YOU NORMAL VIEW THRU AND AT FIRST EVERYTHING IS UPSIDE DOWN BUT WHEN YOU GET INSIDE AN INCH FROM THE BEE. THE BEE WILL ME MAGNIFIED MANY TIMES.AND YOU WILL SEE THE BEE START SUCKING UP THE HONEY THRU ITS STRAW LIKE EXTENSION FROM IT`S HEAD, SOON THE BEE WILL GET ENERGIZED AND GET ALL PEPPY
AND FLAPPING IT`S LITTLE WINGS, THEN SUDDENLY FLYS AWAY, WITH A FULL TUMMY.
DON`T WORRY IF YOU HAVE TO MOVE THE BEE WHEN THEY ARE VERY WEAK THEY HAVE NEVER STUNG ME AND WHEN THEY GET ALL PEPPY ALL THEY WANT TO DO IS FLY HOM
