About Me
I am a mature, educated man looking for an educated and sincere woman for casual, "no pressure", dates at
first. I say a "date at first" because I'm open to dating, to making new friends , etc but ultimately, I would love to find my long term partner in life's journey. I have varied interests and I'm always open to new things. Some of my interests are: cooking, a good conversation with a nice glass of wine, theatre, movies, trying new restaurants and good food from fine dining to casual,a night on the Hollywood broadwalk, spending time with good friends, reading, day trips and weekend "get a ways", most outdoor activities, a nice walk, bike rides, racquetball, small dinner parties, the beach, SCUBA, boating, fishing ( although I'm not very good at catching !!! ), a stroll through an art fair, and just sharing time together----a night at home with a good movie is also very enjoyable.
Additionally, I have a small boat ( NOT a yacht !! ) and I enjoy a cruise on the Intracoastal, picnics on the boat (it's equipped with a grill and a blender !!! LOL ) and "dock and dine" at various waterfront restaurants. If you enjoy the water and the outdoors, please don't hesitate to contact me and let's take a boat ride. I'd like to find a "boating buddy" ---no strings attached!!
The characteristics I believe I possess and those I look for in a partner are honesty, intelligence, a "kind heart", selflessness, generosity of spirit, flexibility, a sense of humor, caring for family and friends, and the ability not to take one's self too seriously. It goes without saying, I AM NOT perfect and NOT a saint.
I also exercise moderately--- walking, biking,weight training, racquetball, etc.------ and try to watch my diet. I’m not a "fanatic" about such things----I even eat pizza, pasta ----- (what else, I'm of Italian heritage LOL ) ---and I'm a sucker for good ice cream - but I do try to stay in reasonably good shape for an "old goat".
Also, you should know that I'm not a particularly "materialistic" kind of person----I don't shop at "high end" stores and I'm not impressed by designer labels. I've learned to enjoy the simple pleasures in life and I'm more interested in "collecting experiences" rather than collecting things. Please don't interpret this to mean I'm pushing a shopping cart around town !!! ( LOL ) Let's get to know each other and if the chemistry is right, who knows where it might lead

First Date
I prefer a setting where conversation is possible, in other words, there is no loud, "music to get a headache by" playing....but I do enjoy live music !!!! A restaurant, a stroll on Hollywood's Broadwalk, even a casual coffee shop would be a good place to start. If you enjoy being outdoors and on the water, I would even suggest a day cruise on my boat.
