Tamara & George
There was really only one perfect fish in the sea for us
We were both skeptical of online dating at first, but because we were both busy with our lives and not interested in the drab bar scene, we thought we would give the internet a try. Our interests connected us. We love adventure, good old movie nights, and we both are country music fans. Our first concert together was of Brad Paisley at the Irvine Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre. We only talked for two weeks online before we decided to meet. We met at a Dave & Buster’s and talked over a couple of beers and appetizers. We hit it off right away, so we continued the night with a game of pool. This wasn’t just any game. There were some very juicy stakes made. The winner would get to kiss the loser were the stakes, so let’s just say that everyone was a winner that night. Our night ended with the game winning kiss and a promise for future dates. It was for sicker or poorer for us from the beginning. Before George and I planned to meet, I had a head surgery scheduled the day after our date. When he said goodbye at the end of our first date, he asked if he could visit me in the hospital and help keep me company. I couldn’t look at him any less than a dream come true. After a week and a half of hospital visits, many little travel plans made together, a year living apart and four years of dating, we were engaged. Now it has been a yearlong engagement, five years together, and we are just a few months away from becoming Mr. and Mrs. Our love story was made possible because we both decided to give the idea of online dating a chance. That was the best decision we have ever made and we can’t wait to be married.
