Leandra & Greg, Married 12/2012
"Found the treasure."
I was talked into pof by a coworker. I have a hard time talking about myself, so I had her write my profile. The same day I had an email from Greg (my now husband!) Greg and I emailed through pof for 4 days before I gave him my phone number. We talked on the phone and after lots of hints he told me to tell him when he could ask me out. My whitty self said "how about 3 years 2 months and 7 days after a little laugh we agreed to meet the next evening for dinner. During our emails we talked about how uncomfortable 1st dates are so we said we would skip the first date and just start with the second.
We met at our local Mars supermarket and then drove together to dinner.. We hadn't discussed where to go except for me telling him to surprise me. He sure did, took me to my favorite Itailian restaurant. Come to find out, he doesn't even like Italian. After dinner we went to a movie and then walked the canal until the wee morning hours. We found that we knew a lot of the same people and had a lot in common. I work in occupational medicine and Greg is corporate safety for a local construction company. He went as far as saying he'd get hurt at work if it meant he could come see me.
We met in September, the following November his company paid for us to go to Vegas for him to take a training course. After coming back to Indy I never went home. We have lived together every since. We have both been married before so I guess we had cold feet about getting married again (he did anyway ;) I can honestly say he is the best thing that has ever happened to me. My children love him as well as the rest of my family. I should tell you that right after he met my parents my Daddy told me "if this doesnt work out between the two of you we're keeping him!" Guess my daddy said it all in those few words. He's a keeper!
Greg and I married 12-21-12 making our 2 separate families 1. I couldn't be happier. I should also tell you I'm a big baby and every time I go over our love story in my head I cry. It's just so amazing. I could go on and on about how great it has been, but you'd never believe me.
