Yep, we're one of "those" couples. We met online. The new-age bind date. Not unlike many of our friends, we decided to try online dating on a website called Plenty of Fish. Neither of us were too excited about the idea at first, but had heard success stories from a few friends and though "what the heck? I'll give it a shot." After a few weeks of sending messages back and forth, we met for the first time...You asked me to go to Molly Malone’s Pub in Kensington for a pint for our first date. "Good," I thought, "Nice comfortable place to go. If it goes really bad, a pint won't take too long to get through and if it goes well, it should be a fun atmosphere to hang out for a while." I never thought that you would insist on picking me up on your way there, officially throwing my plans to be able to ditch out early if things go bad right out the window. Lucky for both of us, things didn't go so bad at all! Our second date followed a few days later when you took me to the chuck wagon finals and grandstand show at the Calgary Stampede. After eights hours down at the grounds (which I thought must be some kind of second date world record) I definitely knew I was interested. We had an awesome time walking the grounds. I specifically remember us carefully choosing which Stampede lottery you were going to buy tickets on, carefully weighing the pros and cons of each, me dancing like a fool to the band playing at the Coca-Cola stage, and you putting your arm around me when the fireworks started. Then, when you dropped me off at the end of the night you kissed me for the first time. I was instantly hooked! And we were pretty much inseparable ever since...
