I was living in Northern Virginia and had come to the conclusion she needed a boyfriend, or at least a date :) A friend had mentioned an online dating site and I figured, hell why not, it can't be all that bad. After a few dates, I came across Doug's profile, and messaged him. We chatted for a while and he then coyishly asked me out on a date. Being all traditional and what not, he asked if he could pick me up for our first date. I have no fear, so I said sure. He took me to dinner, where I ensured my best friend and her then boyfriend/now husband were sitting at the bar. I had to make sure someone knew if I didn't show up...! During dinner, I kept getting texts from her and eventually spilled to Doug that I had invited her and her husband to the restaurant to make sure he was not the a killer. We had a great time and he asked me out again... and again... and well...the rest is history! We got married about six months ago in Sedona, AZ. We live in nearby Prescott, AZ where we relocated about a year ago. We owe it all to POF. Doug said he refused to pay for a dating online, so POF was a natural choice. We tell everyone about POF and a good friend of ours just got engaged to a girl he met on here. Thank you POF!
