I went on-line as I needed a male friend to talk to with no strings attached - someone I felt at ease with - someone who shared things in common with. I personally didn't really believe in the whole on-line dating thing as I had heard to many bad stories from friends experiences. Darren was the first person to contact me and I was surprised by the fact that there was absolutely NO sexual talk , he was kind and genuine - just the type I needed for a friend. We messaged back and forth for a few days then decided MSN was easier and then thought maybe a phone conversation would be easiest of all. 7 hour phone conversation later we decided that we should hang out and watch a movie and continue the conversation. At first I was honestly looking for a friend and wasn't attracted to his pictures he posted on-line so I figured perfect friendship .... however when he came over and found the house finally and came up the walk way ... I was speechless and nervous and had butterfly's in my tummy .... thought to myself "oh no what have i done" .... love at first sight ... his smile blew me away and VERY kind honest eyes !!! We have been together ever since ... we have had our bumps in the road it has not been 100% perfect .... but WE wouldn't change a thing !!! We are now a blended family - 4 kids - and it is the best life we could ever imagine for us and our children .... We both know we have found our match made in heaven and are very thankful for it everyday !!! Thanks POF !!!
