John and I met on POF through IM, he contacted me first. We chatted daily for a couple of weeks, then exchanged phone numbers and continued to talk daily on the phone. After 3 weeks we set up a meeting in my hometown, we were living 3 hours away from each other at the time. We met up at a local resturaunt WE knew it was, "Love at first sight"! We spent the day together...he didn't leave my house for a week. LOL. Needless to say, we made plans every weekend after to spend time together. We spent time at both places. I left the state due to a family death and ended up relocating back 'home". To be close to my family. We maintained a long distance relationship via telephone, but it ended abruptly...He wasn't sure, he panicked...So, he stopped calling or answering. I was heart broken and confused... I moved on, or I tried with no sucess. After about 9 months of no communication... After he realised he was lost and was missing something...someone in his life, God told him to find me... The last thing I gave John was a Bible, God told me to send him...incscribed with a message thats stated , " I want you to be happy and know the LOVE OF GOD that is the BEST GIFT I can give you". With a scripture highlighted inside, that the Lord impressed upon my heart for John. For I know the plans I have for you says the LORD, plans for good not disater, to give you a future and a hope, in those days when you pray I will listen, if you look for me wholeheartedly you will find Me. Jeremiah 29:11-14. He found my mom's home phone number in the card inside his bible and called hoping to reach me...Well, He did! We began communcating again via telephone and planning our life together again. After about 3 months, he decided he was ready to make the '"BIG MOVE". He packed up everything he could fit into his 1965 Cadillac DeVille and drove over 1000 miles to be with me...HIS ONE TRUE LOVE! We picked up where we left off! He took me ring shopping almost immediately and we were engaged! We were planning a church wedding in the Fall, but decided to elope to Reno, NV. to the Agape Chapel and married on July 5th, 2008. We continued planning the church wedding and reception and got married again on October 11, 2008! We Honeymooned in Maui! We have had a few tough times adjusting to married life, with kids (my teenagers!)...But, as we have stuck through the trials and triumphs TOGETHER our love has only grown stronger. That is the true test when things are tough...for BETTER OR WORSE. We have commited our lives and our marriage to Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. He has blessed us with a love that cannot be broken. He had a plan all along for us to be together. He has given me the husband I deserve and have prayed for years before John came into my life. By HIS love and Grace we have come to know that LOVE conquers all! God only gives GOOD GIFTS!
