I had just moved to Winnipeg and been single for a while when I signed up for a POF account; the site had a lot of users who seemed to be good matches for me, and plus it was free (big fan of that). I'm not really into the club or bar scene, so I was hoping to at least make some new friends and possibly get back into dating. Initially I wasn't looking for anything too serious, and while I did meet a few new people I didn't find any real connections. I was close to giving up on my online search when I came across Tara's profile. We had pretty similar interests, and it definitely didn't hurt that she was hot! We also have almost the exact same birthday, which was possibly a sign :P I figured why not, so I sent her a message. We chatted at first via emails and IMs, had a few phone conversations, and eventually decided to meet. Things progressed pretty quickly from there, and casual dating soon turned into living together. We've been together for 4 years now, and we're getting married in March 2011. POF helped me find and fall in love with the most amazing girl ever, so I definitely have to say thanks for that! Tara's been after me to write one of these stories for years, and since she hasn't had an actual marriage proposal yet I think she'll appreciate one here, so here goes! (Hint: she says yes) Baby, I love you so much, and I can't think of anything I'd like more than being with you for the rest of my life. Will you marry me?
