Jim & I met on pof in april of 2009. aftering being divorced for a couple years,I choose online dating for a couple reasons first, I work in an all women enviroment, second, i didn't know anyone single my age, there were no singles groups at my church & I didn't go to bars. I had tried other sites and frankly was a bit dsicouraged with the whole online dating thing & with the sites. A friend of mine said she had heard about a site that her girlfriend had gone on and found her mate and it was called "Plenty of Fish".com . She told me it was a free site and at first I blew it off, (being done with the online dating thing) but after a couple of weeks, i decided to give it a try. it was really easy to set up and navigate through. one week after I signed up , Jim contacted me and we started communicating via email. He asked me out for dinner a week later. We met in town for dinner and took a walk along the river at a nearby park. we talked and talked. we said goodbye in the parking lot that night and we met that next day for my son's football game. We have been together ever since.. We are so much alike in so many wasy that we totally understand each other. After coming through a domestic violence marriage of many years,it is so special to be myself and he loves who I am! thanks POF !! p.s. Jim had been married 1 time before and divorced in 1994. He did not want or to or think that he ever would get married again. he proposed in august of 2010 and we were married in september of 2010! Dreams do come true!! thanks POF!
