So if I ran the world many things would change. One of them would be the premise of this website. (I am sure that I would change other things first--world peace, improve the economy, educate folk, cancel Honey Boo-Boo and Billy the Exterminator--this may be first actually-- anyway back to the website) Fish personalities? Please-- if someone told me I have the personality of a fish I would be highly insulted particularly if they said I was a barnacle-- mooching off of other fish and boats growing uglier by the day with no hope of advancement. I think that people should be matched on what type of dog breed you have or would get if you don't own a dog. If you take one of those quizzes on how to choose a dog breed they ask about size, energy level, grooming, neediness, protective nature. All of these thing translate to humans too-- can't date a couch potato if you always want to do stuff , can't have a super affectionate person with someone who is afraid to touch, high maintenance and low maintenance only lead to frustration. Clearly so much better than fish personalities. So I have a lab and a German Shepard. The lab temperament character is suppose to be "a kindly, outgoing, tractable nature; eager to please and non-aggressive towards man or animal. The Labrador has much that appeals to people; his gentle ways, intelligence and adaptability make him an ideal dog." The Shepard is more complex. It has a "distinct personality marked by direct and fearless, but not hostile, expression, self-confidence and a certain aloofness that does not lend itself to immediate and indiscriminate friendships. The dog must be approachable, quietly standing its ground and showing confidence and willingness to meet overtures without itself making them. It is poised, but when the occasion demands, eager and alert; both fit and willing to serve" Honestly I am more lab at home and Shepard at work. So how does this translate to me-- I am a happy, high energy person who is intelligent, confident and loyal to my people.
My friends tell me I shouldn't share this theory with others... that it makes me seem like a crazy person. That maybe. I figure people who don't appreciate this probably wouldn't get my humor anyway so what harm does it do. So if you message me tell me your dog personalities :) BTW I don't like yappy dogs so if you are a yorkie or something annoying keep it moving :)
Things about me that are not dog related. I love my job because I get to do some good even though it is uncannily similar to HBO's "The Wire." I have lived and traveled all over the world. I love reading, movies, being outside and being a do it yourselfer.
