About Me
I'm still a reasonably fit grown up woman (but not too grown up) who is looking to meet a reasonably fit grown up (but not too grown up) man. I like all kinds of music (I subscribe to CKUA) and love to get out to hear live independent and local artists. I have been seen at the opera and the CPO too. I'm happy with a good book or movie - or even a trashy one now and then. I like to get outdoors - tho not so much in winter (I'm a bit of a weather wimp)- for a hike, bike ride or even a stroll. I love camping in the summer and I find chopping wood oddly Zen especially if it's followed by evenings around the fire sipping a nice wine or scotch or hot chocolate.
I'm definitely more pub than club. Though if you want to take me somewhere else, I'm game for dressing up. Just give me enough time to shop for that little black dress. I like food to both cook and eat. I had trouble choosing a body type for this profile. I would say that I'm average, but friends say that average really means a few extra pounds. So what does a few extra pounds mean? I really don't like to have my picture taken. I look like my pictures - but my hair now covers my ears. I like animals- that's why antihistamines were invented.- and I don't understand when people say they don't like cats or dogs or birds. How can anyone hate an entire species? Except for roaches. I hope to have a retired greyhound or two some day. Right now I have a cat - but only one, I haven't become one of those crazy cat ladies...
I have been told that I am funny, and that I am smart- also perceptive and caring. I do have a romantic heart, but sometimes I hide it. I have integrity and principles and I don't play with people's feelings. I try very hard to be honest. I am happy with who I am and what I'm doing even though I haven't written the great Canadian novel yet. Maybe a short story - or a great paragraph? I want to see lots more of the world and the people in it. I want to try scuba diving. I want to see an iceberg. I want to see Angkor Wat. I would really like to share all this with someone special.
But enough about me. Who are you? Do you have a twinkle in your eye? Maybe you're a bit on the shy side. ( I can be shy too - really) Maybe not. A bit of a reformed bad boy? You are happy with who you are (and with who I am) - but accept that there is always room to grow and experience new things and places. You have opinions. You enjoy at least some of the same things and could show me a new thing or two. It's not so much about what you do or where you do it - it's about who you are with. Of course there has to be attraction - but in the end it's not about flat abs, hair,a Kirk Douglas chin, tattoos or the lack of - but you know that.
I would love to find that spark with someone special and who knows...build a fire together. I might even let you chop some of the wood!
