About Me
Mainly looking for friends first or light dating, though I'm open to stumbling into a relationship-grade gentleman. It's important that you have an exceptional sense of wit, and masculinity is preferred. I tend to get along well with the intellectual, slightly nerdy types around my age (give or take a few years, usually).
I did the SFU thing and got my BA in English/Publishing. Now I work in graphic design for print, which includes catalogues, brochures, packaging, and store display materials. I've held a steady, satisfying job for years but it might be time to consider another field, maybe something that's actually boring! So I've been slowly taking Editing courses at SFU, as fixing other people's written messes is what I'm best at.
Just a bit on my interests. My official hobby is karaoke; almost every week I hit my regular spot and do a new tune, taking on the latest indie favorites, or the 80s hits that actually hold up, or even the painfully 90s rock or dance crap that you can't believe you remember. That's a hefty chunk of my creative outlet, which also includes drawing (whether doodling on paper or creating elaborate digital pieces) and experimenting with cooking.
I live right across from Lougheed Mall, not too far from my work in PoCo nor all the fun stuff in Vancouver. While I greatly value living alone, sometimes it would be nice to have a guy to fall asleep next to on the couch.

First Date
Pretty chill in this area. A simple dinner + dessert are always a good choice. Some say movies are a bad idea early on, but I like them if they're not too long and there's ample conversation about it afterward. Maybe see a concert — I've always wanted to catch one of those has-been bands reduced to playing their greatest hits in a casino theater. That might be a bit much, though, so some club gig is cool enough. Wandering through stores just to mock the merchandise makes me smile. We'll play it by ear!
