About Me
Well, I find it quite ironic that I am a successful Sales Account Manager w/ a great many years Marketing experience...and yet, here I still am...have yet to figure out how to "market" myself successfully !! :)
I suppose it's because at work I can put on the face, wear the hat, play the game and get the job done; whereas in my personal life, I am an open book, wear my heart on my sleeve, don't like hats and the only games that appeal to me involve boards or cards :)
Perhaps I've been alone too long and have become overly particular (so my teenagers like to tell me)but I simply don't want to "settle"; I'd rather be alone. I spent too many years in a relationship without love which actually turned to hate and I'm not willing to do that again. I am looking for Mr. Right, a partner for life.
Warm, safe arms around me, strong hands stroking my leg, a shoulder to lean on, a chest to snuggle into, sometimes soft and gentle kisses; sometimes wildly passionate kisses, hidden notes of adoration, the excitement of coming home at the end of the day, sharing of happiness, sorrow and mutual dreams, intelligent conversation, laughing until tears come, random acts of kindness, being someone's priority, making love, knowing & feeling love, contentment in silence...just being together.

A little about me...I am from Nova Scotia, been in Ontario for 18 years now. I have a career that I enjoy immensely and I have two beautiful, wonderful teenagers (daughter 18 & son 15), but unfortunately, if you're wishing for babies of your own, my baby days are done and gone.
I enjoy dining out, golf but am really, really bad at it; play for fun only :-), movies (in or out); comedies, romance, anything w/ a good storyline really. Some Favorites - The Notebook (Love Ryan Gosling), Titanic, Forrest Gump, Bridget Jones Diary (love Colin Firth), The Lakehouse, P.S. I Love You (Love Gerard Butler), Pearl Harbor. I love a movie that makes me cry...tears of sadness or joy; something that makes me "feel". I love to read but don't ask me for titles or authors b/c I can't remember them 5 minutes after I'm finished; same w/ movies LOL :) I like all kinds of music w/ the exception of most RAP and screamo; well, that's just not music. Country, Easy Rock, Rock, Pop etc...all good. Some examples: Adelle, U2, Bruce Springsteen, The Eagles, Deana Carter, Neil Young...Again, if a song or singer brings me to tears, can really make me "feel" then I love it :) [If you play guitar and/or sing, bonus]!! I want a real "MAN" but with a sentimental & compassionate side. You'd enjoy cooking a meal together, cuddling up to watch a movie, going out to dinner, having family and friends over for a backyard BBQ, an evening of cards w/ friends, going for walks. Not into the bar scene at all. Oh !!!! ....I love Christmas!!! It is my favorite time of year; ever since I had my own children...I think I was always more excited than them 3 It would be so great to have someone special to share it with :) Oh yeah, I love to laugh. There's not enough laughter in my days! If you have made someone laugh today that's great- (wishing it was me !)
I enjoy romance & loving gestures out of nowhere(on both parts) - BTW, romantic dinners do not involve yellow arches. An FYI for all you men... while a man can be in the mood pretty much every second every day; for a woman, it is the daily events of life that put her "in the mood" ... the sweet little things you do every day, the way you make her feel special, important, loved and respected...you do this and it will just come to you :)
If you think sending flowers are a waste of money, love letters a waste of time, compliments over-rated and you can't imagine ever dancing a waltz; you should consider changing your beliefs!!
I'm a passionate woman w/ a strong personality; yet, underneath the hard exterior shell I am really very sentimental and fragile... I've been known to cry over a commercial :) Honesty and communication are very important...No games, no hidden agendas... what you see and hear is what you get. You should be the same way, it's the only way to live. You can't build a relationship from a fantasy, you have to be real.
What I am not looking for : If you are unemployed or your work ethic leaves much to be desired, If your body is plastered w tattoos (one or two discreet are okay), or you're able to wear your hair in a ponytail , not my thing, sorry :( If you have children & do/did not support those children, you are definitely not my kind of guy.
I'm here for the real deal, looking for the right partner -loyal, loves wholeheartedly and is passionate - a companion for life, someone with whom we can share our pasts (mistakes and achievements) , meld our present lives and build a lasting, loving future together.
