About Me
Ok, so at the suggestion of a lady from POF who thought Brad Paisleys song was a little weird and strange, I took it off my profile.lol....Was also told my profile made it seem as if i just want some fun and nothing more. Isn't life supposed to be fun? Lots of laughs? Does life ALWAYS have to come with drama to make it seem worthwhile? Well I kind of think that in life there should always be fun, and laugh, with the odd little bit of drama tossed in there. (there is no escaping it i guess).
The Famous POF question, "What are you looking for on POF?" Well I guess the INTENT section of peoples profiles would indicate the answer. However the intent isn't accurate, as we always tend to not be completely honest with ourselves in that regards, for example, Jane has seeking LONG TERm relationship, she meets JOE who too is seeking long term relationship, however when Joe makes the cardinal mistake of showing her he is interested Joe get the infamous "Friend" speech, or better yet, he gets the "i'm not sure what I want" "you are moving too fast, and im not ready" and ladies you know you have all used those lines. So my thing is if you are UNSURE what you want then pick something other than long term. That was just an example.lol
As for me i have in my profile " I Want To Date but Nothing Serious" isn't that the most honest one there to chose from. We are ALL on a dating site, so DATING would be what we seek to do, and nothing serious well why be serious when its just a date, it all has to start somewhere, and it always starts off not being serious unless it's "Serendipity = when someone finds something that he wasn't expecting to find" and it just clicks.
We all have our stories our own live's drama, 90% of what are on here has their story, and are jaded by an ex and find it hard to trust, and blah blah blah... That's kind of why it's just easier not to be so serious at first, no expectations no disappointments....
People here sometimes get offended if you flirt, and the common response is "i am not here for SEX, so if thats what you want move on" well thats a false statement, because frankly we ALL want sex, either if its a hook up a first date or dating, we all WANT it at some point or another, if you DON't want sex, then you are just seeking a friend, because if you are with someone and not having sex, that's exactly what you have a FRIEND, agreed there is no need for men or women to be crude or rude, and not jump into a heated sexual convo off the hop...just not cool.
Women, you don't like the sex question, men don't like when asked what they do for a living in the first 3 questions, just like sex questions tells you this guy is a pervert, the work questions sends us a red flag, you a gold digger.lol..so ease up, all that stuff will come out in the wash, and I KNOW I KNOW you are reading that thinking, what a jerk, i make my own money i dont need no man to support me, blah blah, well i'm just saying how it comes across, kinda like the sex questions, maybe he is just brave online not so much in person.... lol...
We all want to find someone, no one really enjoys being alone, but if you just leave all your emotion baggage at the door when you meet someone and go in with an open mind and no pressure you might be surprised how things may go...
And for the window shoppers here for those who never set foot in a gym but yet want a guy thats in great shape,and is hot, maybe take a look at yourself first, it dont usually work that way, not everyone deserves a brad pitt look alike, just as some men dont deserve having megan Fox either, lol...Yes I know everyone has diff tastes in men/women, some like bigger some like skinny, some like whatever, but its like going shopping, you kind need to know where your budget is, can't shop for a mercedes when you work at walmart...just saying...
