About Me
Let's not put the cart before the horse...... I chose 'relationship' as what I'm seeking, but the precursor to 'relationship' is friendship. I recognize that 'chemistry' may not be immediately apparent and it may take time to develop, but there has to at least be something compelling to spark that initial interest.
I imagine we would share the same intentions. We would each have our own interests, but enough in common to keep us engaged in conversation and activity. It makes sense for our core values to be similar. Regardless, we need to get out from behind our keyboards and actually meet to find these things out about one another. If we click - great. If not, that's okay, too. Whatever happens, we move forward....

I'm intelligent, independent, optimistic, inquisitive, and grateful for all that is my life. I'm an attractive woman with a quick smile. Non-smoker, no drugs nor addictions. (Except perhaps, chocolate). I enjoy engaging conversation, and good meals with great friends - either at home or out. I appreciate time with family and time alone. I enjoy the movies, a little television, Iyengar yoga, reading, and a diverse range of music. I've signed up for my first, if not only, 10K run in April. (What the h**l was I thinking!) I like walking, bike riding, driving, live events, among other activities. I'm not a status seeker. I enjoy the outdoors, but truthfully, I'm not fond of really rustic camping. I like a daily shower and dislike sleeping on the ground. You won't find me quadding, snowmobiling or hunting, either. It seems to me these activities mess up the tranquility of being in nature. But hey, if it floats your boat(except for the hunting), go for it! I'm allergic to cats, and some breeds of dogs, but I like them, nonetheless. I love the ocean, love the mountains, and I love to travel. I have a fondness for Europe and Mexico (or anywhere tropical), and my bucket list includes a number of places yet to be explored and re-explored. I like to believe in the dream of spending winters away from the cold and snow.
The last twenty some years were spent working 60+ hour weeks and raising my daughter (my greatest source of joy), so there was little time for extensive travel or adventure. I've sold the business, my daughter is on her own, and I'm looking forward to expanding my life. Life still includes working, but I'll strive for balance. I try to take life as it comes and always look for the humour, the bright spot, or the lesson in every situation. I'm looking for more in life, and it has nothing to do with 'stuff'. I'm a glass half full kind of person, but what's really important, is that the contents make you happy.
I appreciate you having read this far.....I hope you had the sense to go get a beverage! This next bit is a "wish" list. Don't let it scare you! It's pretty basic qualities that I think most good people have, and likely looking for if they're seeking a relationship.

...who makes me laugh and causes my heart to skip a beat.
...who appreciates mutual respect, is happy with the person he is, but still embraces the chance to learn and grow.
...who challenges me, communicates openly, and isn't afraid to be vulnerable.
...with core values of integrity, honesty, compassion, empathy, and trustworthiness.
...who is open to the opportunities and possibilities that show up everyday.
...who takes care of himself and is in reasonable shape.
...who will always choose to do the right thing over the convenient thing.
...who's heart is ready and open to love and be loved.
...who will be my best friend, lover, and confidant all in one - my soft place to land.
...who appreciates simple pleasures, is intent on enjoying life, and having fun & adventure!
A tall order? Perhaps. At this stage in life, I will most certainly compromise, but I don't believe I should settle for less than what I bring to the table.
