About Me
UPDATE 30/03/2010 - Am now a non-smoker .. YAY! So, non-smokers only please!
It's difficult to fit a diverse life into this box -especially when there are so many things I enjoy doing (and still want to do!) To give you an
idea of who I am and what I’m like - please read on ....
I used to be a fireman, then a computer programmer and now work as a health and safety advisor in the film industry (basically getting in the
way of filming!)
Home is in west London on a beautiful narrowboat - it's actually very cosy and warm in the winter, particularly with the woodburner going
and a glass or 4 of cabernet syrah in my hand (real ale's for the pub!)
I've got a cheeky, witty and wicked sense of humour but can of course do serious as and when needed.
I love finding out what makes people tick and enjoy talking deep into the night about everything and nothing (wine or tea optional!). Lots to
say but equally thrive on what others have to say too!
As for music, I love it all but especially blues and rock and occasionally dabble with a little Classic FM. I've also got a friend who's an opera
singer and I enjoy listening to him practice (when we're not riding our motorbikes together).
I enjoy anything which touches the senses and soul, whether visual, audible or an act of kindness by someone and am always keen to explore
and learn new experiences.
My lifelong ambition is to buy a yacht and sail the world, well maybe just the Med to start with. (Narrowboats aren't very good on the open
sea!) Just imagine exploring deserted beaches and Greek village harbours! In the meantime though - it's sunny days on the river Thames
with bacon sandwiches and mugs of tea (or wine!).
