sorry this is so long but i believe in trying to make it detailed lol just a heads up to save you time if you dont want to waste time reading long assed descriptions that is, if my crappy photogenics hasnt already scared you off yet but the title oughta put ya off anyways
im D'Arcy , Ive recently met a great girl through this and its going great with her. I pretty much just use this site to keep in contact with her so i wont be considering anything other than friends on this site, shes really nice too so theres a testimonial for this site i guess hehe
Some people say I remind them of a cross between Jack Black and Silent Bob I havent quite decided if they meant that as a compliment or insult yet.
im a nice friendly easy going fella, and easy to get along with but im not exactly the best lookin guy out there the rate my picture results is good proof of that) but hey at least im not fulla myself Im extremely shy till you get to know me (especially if its a girl i really like, heh ive been screwed over by that before lol) so if i liked you and seen you out someplace i probably wouldnt approach you id probably wait and hope for you to approach me,in the same way that im not likely to email you through this so you may need to drop me a line i mean i have sent mails to a couple of people but ive got limited responses. after that and i get used to people theres no shutting me up so alot of people think i come across as rude and arrogant when i dont say much when i first meet them but really thats all it is is Shyness so it usually takes a couple of days or meetings before i start to talk alot. im pretty much laid back and easy going.i kid around alot but i take music very seriously I hate new music with a passion cause I dont like this trend of releasing stuff with half assed musicianship to fill an album and whiney teen punk bands or dropping the e string to a d and using one fingered powerchords for everything i pretty much stopped listening to newer music in the late 90s, but i still enjoy Jamming out to Van halen party rock or classic rock (and no i dont consider Nickelback rock at all, just another pretentious bush X, Creed, days of the nu Crap rock clone trying to sound like pearljam cept pearljam rocks and they do not).infact my 2 main hobbies are a toss up between playing guitar and collecting guitars and sometimes i think im the only Nova Scotian that does not like Celtic music (cept irish rebel music or flogging molly) or sarah maclaughlin (i find bagpipes and fiddles squealy and annoying and sarah might be talented for the type of music she does but it seems like shes yawning her music not singing and i just find it boring)
the education part of this is a bit vague, to me some college makes it sound like you tried it then dropped out, for the Record i went to NSCC from 02-04 to take and graduate the Electronic engineering technician program, and i liked it so much i went back to take Machinist/CNC machinist at NSCC and graduated in 06 and hopefully some day i can apply my skills from both to building guitars since its always been something ive been interested in learning how to do.
i guess i got a pretty good sense of humour, it can be a bit crude at times like for instance i laugh at stuff like Southpark, Metalocalypse (Toki and Skwisgaar remind me of me) Henry ROllins, Dennis Leary. but stuff like Mr Bean, the simpsons, Fraiser and bill and Ted crack me up as well, But friends? well that comes on one of hte 500 time slots or 50 channels its on i cant grab the remote fast enough to change that channel, hate that show! also a good pasttime i have is sitting at a Tim hortons with an addictive substance known as Tim Hortons Coffee people watch and make up voices and conversations to the people that walk by, hey i figure they do the same with me right?
oh and ill always prefer to wear the scruffy clothes that im comfortable in over the tight fitting overpriced clothes everyone else seems to like but it doesnt matter lol i dont look that good facially anyways so i doubt a pair of designer jeans and a polo shirts going to help that any but the whole me being to shy to talk to people unless they approach me first thing doesnt help either but yeah comfort over style thats me in a nutshell, I do clean up nice though, so im told haha,Im the type of guy that I dont mind if it rains as long as it thunders and i get to see some kickass lightning
Ive been watching what I eat the last few months (without being a healthfood facist) and i walk and try to get some excercise and ive lost a good bit of weight (one with me/guitar is my latest pic so you can tell its been working out really good so far)
ive always been attracted to the cute shy but tomboyish sweet chick type over the "Hot" type i dunno just seems the hot ones are the ones that think thier looks and the fact that they have no trouble finding someone else if things dont work out entitles them to be full of themselves and treat people (especially guys like me) like crap, where as the shy cute type even if they realize theyre attractive are alot more modest about their looks and they somehow have a kind hearted honesty about them so me calling you cute is definetly a bigger compliment than me calling you hot. it would also be awesome if the shy girl had a tomboy side to her too that keeps things from being too boring and says Screw Julia roberts and richard gere movies, a movie has to have the minimum of 2 car chases, 6 explosions and 5 shoot out or martial arts fighting scenes in it but have a not so mindless plot before it can be called a movie. besides shy i can relate to but the chances of me ending up with anyone are slim to nill anyways.oh and short chicks rock
some things that put me off personality wise are arrogant egotistical women who feel theyre owed something because of how they look, and total control freaks. i mean im a laid back guy and the least controlling type of person ever and i expect the same respect basically i wont tell you what you can or cant do, what causes you should believe in stuff of that nature because i have respect for you, so please have some respect for me and dont tell me what i cant or cant do or what causes i should be interested in because thats one of few times my strength of personality comes out and i refuse to fold and i really can be quite stubborn at times so telling me what i can or cant eat just to, so to speak, give the choke chain a good pull will never go over well with me im just not a "Yes dear" kind of guy. LOL i betcha youre clicking on users after that speil now eh? but its common sense people dont like being talked down to and people dont like being bossed around right? and if all we do is argue about foods, politics, religion, instead of saying "hey youre into that? cool, me too" or "yeah Cool but thats not for me lets just leave it at that" then whats the sense of being t
