Soooo, I guess this is where I get to brag about myself...
Im a relaxed, sarcastic individual with a dry wit who doesn't take life to seriously. I'm the glass half full type, I always try to see the positive. I truly believe in a work life balance, with more emphasis on Life rather than work. I love to cook, especially exploring new cultures and cuisines. I was born in Switzerland, lived in Japan for four of the early years and have called Toronto home ever since. I have Swiss and American Passports as well as Canadian citizenship. Honestly, I don't know who I'm looking for, someone I can laugh with in the most boring of times. I'm comfortable hanging out in a suit or jeans and a baseball cap or hanging out with suits in jeans and a baseball cap. I don't judge people and hope to expect the same from you.
I did go to University, just not in Canada, four long hard years in Florida and enjoyed my time but truly never want to go back to the Ignorant South. I've recently left the corporate world after 10 years, after realizing Im just not the office type. Since then I've done Carpentry and Construction, Roofing, plumbing and am now as of Sept.2011 going back to school for 6 months to learn all about Solar Power.
My dream is to buy a beachfront property in South/Central America (thinking Santa Catalina, Panama) and open a little resto bar/surf shop on the beach. I want to build the perfect tropical house and be able to live off the grid. Imagine the Sunsets at night directly in front of you, the waves rolling in the ocean...
I have an eclectic taste in music, I think it changes by the day. From Kenny Loggins to De La Soul to Vivaldi to Paul Simon and everything in between. Just not electronica.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. 'You don't have to tell me,' I said. 'I'm off the team, aren't I?' 'Well,' said Coach 'you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times.' It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on
In conclusion: I'd like to consider myself true gentleman, someone who stands up for whats right, no matter what the consequences. Although I have made quite a few mistakes in my day and will most likely make a lot more, I have learned from each of them and never make the same mistake twice.
