At this time, I am off the market. Thank you one and all.
I always wonder about the range of thoughts going through other peoples' minds when writing about themselves.
I was raised with Old School Values, Family Honor Duty, Country, I have spent my time in the service, and raised 2 wonderful children, along with trying to impart some values on my grandchildren. I believe I've done as good of a job as any parent, as they are still talking to me. :) (there's no instruction manual for children, y'know) It's a blessing to be able to have them share their lives with me. Bonus points for me, and them.
I am a satisfied parent, grandparent, and confidant to some. I'm honest to a point that it can rub some people the wrong way. If someone doesn't want to hear an honest answer, they probably shouldn't ask me. My honesty isn't in the shape of belittling another, as I respect all people, but rather from the standpoint of calling it like I see it.
The things I enjoy are vast and diverse. I enjoy getting together with friends, grilling in the back yard, watching the sun come up with a fresh cup of coffee, and in general just enjoying life. As it says in the headline, I'm incredibly easy-going and have found life is too short to not enjoy the ride. One of my passions is automobiles, so I really like going to car shows, and am planning on starting on another hotrod to add to my 75 Camaro.
As mentioned above, I am a firm believer in honesty, for without that, nothing else matters. I have been known to wear my heart on my sleeve, incurring the occasional William Tell injury. When I set my mind to something, I have been accused of beating my head against the proverbial wall, but there's a unique satisfaction that comes from achieving a goal or completing an objective you set out after.
In addition to automobiles, I enjoy kicking back and watching a good movie. I still have a bit of the kid in me as I really like Happy Feet and Cars. I enjoy the animation, as it reminds me of simpler times, when cartoons were there to amuse, and enjoy as something I could just get lost in.
Like everyone, I do have my shortcomings. I am far from perfect, and consider myself a work in progress, but I also believe we are all on a journey of becoming the best version of ourselves.
I wish one and all a very enjoyable search, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I look forward to learning more about you!
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
With my relaxed disposition, a first date could fall just about anywhere in the spectrum of options. It could be going for a walk along the lake shore, grabbing a a cup of coffee at a local shop, taking the Camaro out for a drive and stopping somewhere for a milkshake, window shopping, or as Yul Brynner said in The King and I, etcetera etcetera etcetera.... I'm open to just about anything, so don't hesitate to ask!
