"People die...so love them every day,
Beauty fades...so look before it's gone,
Love changes...but not the love you give,
And if you love, you will never be alone."
The above was taken from a vampire book called "Witchlight" by L.J Smith. The series that first got me into vampire when I was nine.
Anyway...on to me. I'm just your average person. Trying to figure out who I am and what I want in my life. Until I figure that out, I'm trying a lot of new and different things.
Lately, I've enjoyed taking long walks in the forest preserves near here. I've been taking a lot of photos (nothing that can be considered art, but they are fun for me). And as you can see from my profile shots, I enjoy doing make-up. I have a lot of fun doing strange make-up on people and taking pictures of them. It takes people out of their comfort zone a little bit.
I have eclectic tastes in music. I was raised on Metallica, so will always love the hard rock/heavy metal. Lately I've been listening to a lot of symphonic metal such as Nightwish, Epica, Within Temptation. And some Death metal for those rough days such as Dimmu Borgir, In Flames, Susperia.
I am currently a bookseller at a Half Price Books. I love working with the nostalgia books (the ones that are considered antiques)
I do enjoy video games, wish I had more time to play. Will always love the Legend of Zelda and yes, dare I say it, Pokemon.
I love the paranormal and always have. I will believe in elves, fairies, and vampires until the day I die. Can't help it, I truly believe that there are things in this world that we have never and may never see.
Have I got your attention yet?
As for what I am looking for. I have no set idea (as cliche as that sounds). I do want someone that can take a nice long walk with me. Someone that can be a kid at times; doesn't mind doing the silly stuff. Mostly, someone I can talk to and not run out of topics to discuss.
I mean, we'll figure out the rest when we get there.
I love doing silly and fun things for first dates. Dave and Busters. Museum of Science and Industry. I've even gone to Chuck E Cheese.
I think those types of atmospheres are relaxed and fun for first dates. Not too much pressure, plus you are still in a place where you can talk and get to know each other.
Even just a simple walk around town (whichever town). A nice meal (I don't require anything too fancy).
It's not about the money you spend on the date. It's about the experience you have.
