About Me
I am not looking to change, fix or rescue anyone, nor am I looking for anyone to do that for me. I am looking for a lifetime partner, an equal. I'd rather be alone for the right reasons, than be with someone for the wrong reasons.
I like to be out and about, I'm not a homebody. Therefore, frequently playing couch potato would bore me to tears. I like to do a broad spectrum of activities. Walking along the city streets, bowling, billiards, happy hours, broadway plays, movies, museums, traveling.
Now lets talk personality. I have a witty sense of humor, am very outgoing. I am a people person, basically will talk to just about anyone. Having said that, if you see me avoiding or running in the opposite direction from someone that speaks volumes to what an icky personality they have.
The personality type I am seeking in a man is thus: A calm easy going patient happy go lucky temperament. My father was that type, and we got along great. If you are thinking he was whimpy, then you would be dead wrong. He was a former Marine, the company sniper.
You must be self motivated, love animals and love to travel. I like the somewhat nerdy (minus the pocket protector and thick glasses) intellectual type.
If you are still raising your kids and/or they still live with you as adults, I can't deal with that sort of drama.
If you are taking care of sick parents, then I highly commend you. However, been there, done that, and can't bare the thought of ever doing that again, even if it's only vicariously.
I know it's rough dating, but nothing ventured, nothing gained. IMO, finding the right one is right up there with trying to cross the Atlantic in a 50 foot sail boat.
