About Me
Been a while since I looked at this profile. Darned POF made me put in an intent on here, but me real intent is to stick to the poetry forum. Sure, I'll be friendly and stuff, but poetry is why I'm here. So, go check out the Poetry Barn and Eatery in the forums and make sure to check out the other poets -- there's some real talent there.

Things have happened. Really.
All I can say is this site works and it works exceptionally well when you're not really looking. I was just here minding my own business, posting my poems and carrying on -- then one fine day someone contacted me. I'll spare ya'll the cliches and that other stuff, but she is exactly the person I was looking (but not actively so) for.
It's hard to find that kind of intelligence, heart and plain old horse sense in a person -- but I did it. If I can find someone on this site, you can too.
Also, I met some very interesting and wonderful people on this site. This place has become like a little home for my thoughts and half-assed poems. See the Poetry Barn and Eatery for reference -- it's in the Poetry forum, in case you have trouble finding it.
That almost sounded like a testimonial. Ah, well...
Now get out there and land that fish! G'wan -- git! Good luck.

First Date
A date? Isn't that like when two people hang out and do stuff together? Or is it like looking dreamily into their eyes for hours at a time until the eye-snot builds up to such a point that the eye won't blink anymore?

I hope this isn't too long now. I mean, I'm off the dating circuit and never really was on it at all to begin with. But if I were to go with someone on a date, I think we'd have a nice time putting cortisone cream on my bacne. That sounds lovely, don't it?

 | May I be serious for a moment? (I know, I know!) I have never in all my life met someone with the depth, the heart, the brain and the personality like this Man. He is everything a good man should be, with some silliness thrown in for good measure. He has inspired me in many ways, at many times and always, above all been someone to be a cool head, a philosopher and a friend when one needs it. Ohand the poetry ain't half bad, neither! |
