About Me
My name is David! A lot has happened to me/changed and I feel I need to revamp this.
I'm not really a crazy party guy. I've kinda grown out of that phase. I do enjoy going out with the guys, but you won't catch me getting black out drunk or anything crazy anymore. Haha I have a good job that has great career advancement and a great future. I take work very seriously and I work very hard. I will be going back to school soon to finish my Sports Management degree. I had to take time off from school when my father was diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately, a year and a half ago, after a 6 month battle, he passed away. My father was my life and he was my world. Even though losing him has had it's struggles, I've started to come around with a much more positive look at life. That man taught me a lot about love and living. Through all of his suffering and pain, he still found time to laugh and smile. He even cracked jokes up until his death. He was a very decorated veteran of the USMC and served 20 years. I will forever be in debt to him and hope to one day grow up and be half the man he was. I'm not quiet sure why I'm telling you guys this on here. Maybe it's the fact I'm so proud of him, I want the whole world to know about him.
I'm a huge family guy! I love my family to death and we are very close. I take my mother out to lunch every weekend and she comes first.
I've started getting back into running recently as well. I just started training for my second full marathon. I used to run a lot a few years ago. I've ran a few half marathons and a full. I always run for charity, always. Mainly I like to run for St. Jude's. I'm always down to run and help people's lives! I used to be 300lbs and I've lost around 100. With that said though, I do not have a 6 pack. I do not have sexy abs and I never will. I do have a belly that I'm working off again. If you have a problem with that, then go on. I'm not about that stuff and I don't view you like that.
Some more things about me:
- I always put others first.
- I'm told I'm hilarious.
- I pray every night when I go to bed and have a bible next to my bed at all times.
- I love to trap shoot. (So yes, I own guns.)
- anything outdoors makes me happy.
- I'm old fashioned. Meaning I believe in opening doors, pulling out chairs, hugging on the first date. I don't do one night stands or FWB. Never have, never will.
- I love country music.
- I'm a kind soul and more interested in knowing people for who they are, not what they look like.
Also, if you love the Cleveland Indians, or message me with something nice about them, then you've quickly found yourself in the soft spot in my heart! Haha
People ask a lot why I'm on here and what I'm looking for. Well...
I guess what I'm looking for is actually something stable and real. I'm not really into bar scenes or anything anymore. I'm kind of ready to just settle down and find something that has a lot of meaning. I don't really care how much money you make or how tan you can get or all the cool places you've seen all over the world. Yeah, cool stuff, but you don't take any of that with you when you die. My father stressed to me growing up that the richest and most fulfilling things in life usually come free. Boy, was he right. I grew up happy and loved and we sometimes barely got by. Funny how that was my parents approach. After 37 years, it took my father to pass away for their marriage to separate. Maybe some people need to re-approach things. I guess, what I'm saying, is I'd love to find someone where I can return this too. Give this kind of love and embark on my own journey as my father did and hopefully one day have a family that is just abound with love.
