About Me
January 7, 2012.
Hello and thanks for checking out my profile.
I love cooking, baking, listening to live jazz music, indie concerts, walking through trails, attending community events, reading, writing and of course traveling. I am currently studying to get my designation. I like to stay active and healthy so I go to the gym at least 2-3 times per week. I believe in a personal work/life balance so no I am not a workaholic by any means but with that being said I do stay later than my scheduled time frame at least once a month to finish off a few things. I am ideally looking for a long term relationship but it doesn't hurt to meet and see where it leads. Until then, Wishing you all the best of luck,
Cooking and Baking
Here are few of my favourite dishes which I like to create for my guests:
Cannelloni with Ricotta Cheese, Jerk Chicken and Rice & Pea's, Triple Chocolate Fudge Brownies, Short Bread Cookies.
Jazz Music:
Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Dave Brubeck, Dinah Washington, Norah Jones.
Indie Concerts:
Feist (Seen her live a few year's back), Metric (Seen them live last year at Molson Amp), First Aid Kit (Sound Academy this past November along with Lykke Li), The Kooks (Sound Academy Theatre this past November as well)
I really really want to see The Black Keys and The Kills. Who wants to tag along? Let me know. Thanks.
Trails:
Sherwood Park - Yonge & Lawrence, Yonge & Eglinton area, Old Mill Inn Trail (Humber River area along with Old Mill), Etobicoke Creek Trails (Etobicoke/Mississauga border).
Community Events:
Toronto Night Market - Markham Civic Centre ( I love this asian night market. Where you get stinky tofu, curry fish balls and more. Taste of Danforth - August - I go every year. I love my lamb chops and spankapita. The Toronto Film Festival - September ( I typically go every year and watch movies but I only watched two films this year since one of my friends invited me. Nuit Blanche - October - Managed to attend with a few friends.
Do you know of any festivals you would like to attend? I am always interested in taking in a new festival or two.
Gym:
Mondays, Wednesdays & Friday nights. I sometimes go on Sundays too it all depends on how I feel at that exact moment. I think it's important to exercise in this day in age.

10/27/11 ~ A friend visiting for a weeks time from Germany. I've been touring Toronto, Ontario much like a tourist in my own city. The AGO, The Bata Shoe Museum, Kensington Market, Harbourfront & lastly Toronto Island. What's your fav. spot in the city & why?
11/11/11 ~ Happy Remembrance Day Canada!/Veterans Day if you are American! Girls night out with my co-worker a great way to end the work week. Much needed. Jack Astor's & browsed through Sherway Gardens. I haven't been to Sherway Gardens in ages. I used to work at Holts and I love that mall. :)
12/03/11 ~ Off to our company Christmas Party. What a great way to say goodbye to the old year and bring in the new year with co-workers and friends.
12/22/11 ~ Off to Little Britain, Ontario to visit with my best friend and her family for Christmas before the holidays begin. Also got to spend time with her three dogs which I truly adore. Too bad I can't have a lil' doggy of my very own but I am not home enough to take care of him/her. So I don't think it's fair to abandon them all day and night.
Merry Christmas 12/31/11 ~ Happy New Year!
Wishing you all the best in 2012.
01/05/12 ~ Starving Artist for brunch. I had the Breakfast Benny along with waffle bacon. This place is truly amazing. If you haven't tried you should totally take the chance to check it out. Later on - An afternoon stroll through China Town West. Chatted with a friend at Starbucks for a couple of hours. Headed downtown to visit my old friend at their condo close to Harbourfront & ACC. We had a few tequila shots, appetizers at Hoops Bar & Grill. (Super crowded due to Leaf's Game - we could hardly hear one another speak). Amazing night overall.
01/06/12 ~ Ran some errands - Caught up on some much needed sleep. What a beautiful view of the city it was tonight. I traveled around to Yonge & Eglinton, Scarborough and Pape and Danforth and home again (West End). It's great to take in different views of the city.
01/07/12 ~ Relaxing at home this afternoon. Home Made dinner at a friends place along with a couple of glasses of Rioja. It's our 3 month ritual and we haven't done any dinners since February 2010.
01/08/12 ~ An afternoon movie - "My life with Marilyn" with an old friend & we're hitting up a new Thai restaurant in my neighbourhood after for din din. Catching up with an old college classmate. Back to work next week so I've gotta squeeze as much things in as possible before I return to the office. I will be back on a normal schedule which is 9am to 5pm not going out so much and studying for my designation. Anyone wanna do something before January 11, 2012? Let me know or drop me a line or two. Cheers!
01/09/12 ~ Martini's with the girls in Little Italy. (Evening)
