About Me
O.K. so I'm a man, that means I'm not perfect straight away. I was very happily married until widowed in 2000 ( So I've not been put off the institution, ) 3 children all grown and flown with families of their own (15 grandchildren up to now (including 4 unofficial). I'm originally from East London, and moved here from Romford in Essex and have lived in Norfolk since 1986, . I'm not looking for a a substitute for what I lost, though I would really like to be one of a couple again. I really don't want to be bringing up children again, (been there, got the video & the tee-shirt). Grandchildren are great, you can give them back when you've had enough..lol. Initially, I'm looking for a good friend, a nice lady to enjoy meals out and to socialise with, a woman I can feel at ease with, and she with me. Then see how or if things progress from there. I still miss being able to come home and chat, and do those tactile things we all love in a relationship, and would really love to be in that position again, but it has to be with the right partner! I would far sooner have a long term good friend, than a brief or bad relationship, that's no good for anyone. I have a different work pattern to most people, which could be a pain for a some of you ( and no, I don't work shift's or night's, or away from home). I am a generally a happy chappy with a g.s.o.h. My musical taste is eclectic, anything from Strauss to the Stones, Presley to Purcell, and more besides. I do enjoy a meal out, but I'm happy to eat in as well, happy going out anywhere or staying in to watch a DVD or listen to music in good company.
